Darling tea room. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating . We just stopped for tea and scones but the breakfast looked great.

Such a cute place! The cakes and cookies are wonderful! A lot of food choices for lunch too! Tasty and fresh. This place is like a fairy tale!

Located at the foot of a hairpin turn, this place was a delightful break in our road trip. Warm, welcoming, charming, with delicious and hearty home cooked food. Historic building - we ate in the 'laundry room' with old taps still on the wall and the table built over top the sinks. Sweet decor throughout (even in the washroom!) and nice home wares for sale. Great place to stop in!

Staying over the road at Mill cottage (best nights sleep in years) this fabulous little tearoom and cafe was perfect for breakfast and lunch. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming and make the most delicious mushroom and avocado on toast I’ve ever tasted. So happy it was only 1 minute walk away! Vegan options are limited but what there is on offer won’t disappoint. Parking is available and location is a perfect stop for NC500 adventurer. Would definitely recommend.

A fantastic little cafe. Lovely food, ambience and service. I had scrambled aggs and smoked salmon... Very tasty! Full breakfast and lunch menus available. Highly recommended and we'd certainly call again if passing.

What a great place this is . Lovely warm and friendly staff . The cakes are so tasty as well . Well worth a visit if your on route north on A9 or travelling near Dunbeath/ Berriedale. A special mention and thank you to the kind member of staff who ran to the bus stop with the stick I'd left behind . I'll return here for definite 👍

We happened upon this delightful tearoom on our way up the A9 so we stopped for coffee. I noted that other people had booked, and it was nearly lunchtime, so that's worth bearing in mind. It is really lovely, with a great range of snacks, meals and drinks. There is also a shop with all sorts of gifts, Scottish foods, Scottish toiletries etc, and we were fascinated by some amazing clocks. Service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. We sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed our coffee and snacks. Highly recommended.

Park up, get scones or cake with a hot drink and then walk them off hiking a short excursion in the valley. This place is set in a lush, sheltered slice of paradise untypical of the weathered harshness of much of this coastline. The historic wash house machinery still installed in the River Bothy are also a quirky and interesting side note too - really pleased they’ve kept so much of it.

Brilliant place to eat food i had fresh crab on a batch and it was delicious and home made chocolate cake to die for and lots more to choose from. I can definitely recommend this place and after your food you can take a walk along the path over the bridge and admire stuning scenery and dog can have a swim as well. Love this place.

Definitely one of the best cafes I've been to along the NC500 route! Amazing food and coffee and a great selection of cakes that will leave you thinking which one to have for a long time! Also a little shop with gifts is inside
