·

Amazing restaurant. Delicious seafood in an incredible setting. Well worth the short (and beautiful) drive off the main NC500 route. Highly recommended.

·

Amazing restaurant with incredible views, lovely staff and the freshest seafood you will find. Make sure to book ahead - we saw several people turned away as they were full.

·

Absolutely lovely food and service. Wish we could have stayed longer and try more dishes!

I suppose following a Brakes Food Distribution lorry should have sounded warning bells. The long and the short of it we were very disappointed with our seafood platters.A wedding anniversary meal of bog standard mackerel and a couple of slices of smoked salmon, a little bit of crab meat and 4 chilled langoustines on a bed of salad for £31. For a restaurant in that setting with fresh ingredients swimming at the front door, so much more could be done. The friendly waiter was no compensation for a very disappointing evening. A great opportunity missed given its position on the horror that is the NC 500.

Incredible food and amazing location - book ahead to avoid being turned away!

The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Booking ahead is PARAMOUNT even for lunch. The location also amazing.

·

Delicious eating and very nice staff.

Fantastic sea platter, great soup. Generally the food on the nc500 is average, but this was just great. Platter was quite expensive but the menu just didn't say it was for 2p. Would really recommend.

·

Cool interior and the langoustines were so juicy. Spent a lot of time taking them apart and savouring every part of them.

We had an excellent lunch at Shorehouse. The food was prepared to order, presented to a high standard and good value for money. We ate on the balcony in glorious sunshine but if the weather isn’t so kind you still get stunning views of the coastline from inside the restaurant. If you’re visiting Handa island make sure you allow time for a visit here. As an added bonus the drive to get here takes you though beautiful scenery.
