The Stables Restaurant & Grill in Highland

Great little restaurant with great prices. Service was brilliant and the food was out of this world!If your in town definitely make sure you put this fabulous little restaurant on your list to dine out at!

Lovely food and well cooked steaks. Pork belly and salmon to start were very tasty. Arrived at 6.30pm but had a long wait before starter and then steaks arrived. Service was friendly but there seemed to be a lack of organisation or staff in the kitchen leading to long times until some people could order. The people who came later had even longer waits than us even though the restaurant wasn't full and we were there for two hours and left without ordering dessert due to not wanting to wait any longer. Shame about the service and cook times as beautiful food and friendly owner.

Booking required before attending, staff are friendly. Pasta was pretty standard (linguine), creamy sauce and quite expensive for what it was to be honest. Tap water with lemon for the table. Popular music was played. It was odd because after being asked about the bean burger on the vegan menu, the waitresses and even the chef didn't recommend it!

Overall enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was good.I had the ribeye which was a little small for my liking at 8oz and priced at £24, also a little fattier than I like but it was nice.I also was a little disappointed as I picked the T bone first but they are not available anymore and they keep meaning to update the menu.The wine was very nice and it was very reasonably priced, think it was the house white wine at about £17

Highly recommended, the chef here obviously knows his meat. Excellent stakes and burgers, but the home made haggis the best - haggis nachos well worth a look in as a starter.

Highly recommend the wild mushroom starter, the dish was definitely crafted with care. Good quality stake cuts.

Best meal we've had in years! Pork belly starter was perfect. We both had steaks for main and both were cooked to perfection. 100% would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Staff were lovely. Compliments to the chef and waitress on Tuesday 21st September !

I simply don't know what to say....This place possibly has THE BEST RIBS if have ever tasted and they were MAHOOSIVE.I thought Miller&Carter's ribs were good but these were off the scale.We had a lovely evening with great service and will definitely be back.

Excellent restaurant, excellent service. The Stables is a carnivore's delight, although they also have an extensive vegan menu. Great quality, local meats with a number of different cuts (Sirloin, filet, rump, flatiron, t-bone) and also local venison. Huge home made burgers, try it topped with home-made haggis as well! The staff are friendly, chatty and knowledgeable, justifying this restaurant's status as not just one of the best in the region, but one of the best in Scotland.
