The White Heather Cafe in Highland

NC500 - a must stop before continuing- best food so far. I had the pork and apple burger - delicious. Parking available and not so far is the smoo cave.

We were looking for a place to get a bit to eat for lunch. Found this place and we only went in because we were hungry and thirsty. From the outside it looks like something you might picture being in a Stephen King horror novel. Don't think it has had any improvements or renovations since it was built and the inside was not any better. It was like stepping back I time to the 1960/70s. The food to ages to arrive and all we had ordered were sandwiches and got filled rolls. When it did arrive it was not worth the wait. During our time up this way this was only one of two places we did not return to.

Very pleasant, nice lady serving. The cake was delicious and the best pot of tea and cup of coffee in Scotland so far.

It's one of those places that has not not moved with the times and I hope it don't, it's a timeless place as is the area, tea and scone for me, need better t bags.

I had a delicious homemade scone with butter, jam and a pot of tea.

Vintage / historical cash machine was awesome ( cakes as well ) !

Lovely lunch. The wee woman who runs this wee cafe is a wee gem. The wee cafe is like stepping back in time and well worth a visit.

Nice cup of tea and roll and bacon good but place could be cleaner

Horrible place to stay, very cheap interior and the breakfast coffe ain't very good either. But the wifi is o.k.
