Gorgeous food and wine, thoughtful staff Re-opened this week! Lovely to have a fabulous meal here on our Wedding Anniversary. Gorgeous food, beautiful wine. Locally sourced, beautifully presented. A very special evening!

New owner Morven is a powerhouse; she gave up her day off to feed a full restaurant, single handed! Food was very good too. Highly recommended.

This has now reopened under the name, The Nest. The first night was the 8th August; under new management.I was with a group of 11 that were staying in the area and we were looked after so well with great food - save room for the Baileys Cheesecake!!Very homely and we have become their first regulars for the week, with a 600mile round trip, it’s worth it.

Fine food and good service, but too expensive for what you get. the menu price is not marked when you enter and you not see It until they sit you and serve a welcome aperitive

Great food! Waiters was very nice, but needed training taking the price into consideration. When paying approx. £60 for food I do expect a certain level of expertise, I guess they where unlucky as well. The positive:Amazing food (5 star!), smiling and friendly waiters and cozy restaurant. The negatives:White wine was warm and they served it. The system for taking orders was not good, and should have been done different. We didn't get a bill but just a receipt with the total amount of for 10 people not showing the service they included, the deposit we paid and so on. They did give us a hand written one when we asked, it would just have been a lot more professional to get a detailed bill.We where a hard crew of 10 people, but where the only ones in the restaurant.Recommendations: Learn the waiters to present the food, know the wine, fix the wine fridge, serve food in the order as on the menu, a bit smaller servings, learn waiters to collect plates and cutlery. Reaching the next level, also have a wine menu ready.I believe this place is very good, but we where unlucky. Food was still amazing and the waiters was very friendly and welcoming, just needed a little bit of training.

This award winning restaurant we came across as we were walking. Very cosy and beautifully decorated. Staff were lovely and you can actually see and speak to the chef. Its not your average something and chips that fills the kids up. However it is an excellent culinary experience. All the produce is locally sourced or grown. I can truly understand why they have been rated so highly with awards.

This place has by far the best food I have ever eaten. I have done that many times as long as I am up in Lochaline. I would highly recommend this place.

A great lunch meal, with interesting locally sourced food and excellently prepared and presented, with many different dishes to choose from, we had a hard time choosing which dishes we wanted to order. The staff were very friendly, explaining the dishes. We left after lunch full, happy and very impressed.

One of the best meals I've ever had! We had a three course lunch, with two options for each course. Everything we ate was so fresh and each dish carefully put together. The vibe is unpretentious but the food is clearly on an entirely other level. Staff was incredibly friendly and informative, explaining each dish, giving us plenty of time to enjoy everything. This place is hidden gem for sure, and very much worth a visit.
