I was in the shop when this Gentleman was asked politely if he would mind wearing a mask and when he very rudely said he didn't need to was asked to show his exemption badge - all as per Scottish Covid Law - he at this point stormed out saying he would take his custom elsewhere - it is a small community store and cafe and is trying it's best to uphold the law and protect it's customers.

Rude, misinformed, ignorant of the law, willing to discriminate against disabled people, council and solicitor contacted. Not very pleasant people!

Been visiting here for quite a few years now and I've always admired the hard work the owner and her team have put into making this a place well worth visiting. It's always well stocked with essentials and quite a few items to treat yourself with when you're on holiday. The views from the cafe section are second to none (see the photo I've added). Good place to watch the rain outside too if you're unlucky with the weather! On our visit last week we had coffee and tiffin tray bake on three separate occasions. Bit greedy I know but it was outstanding. Definitely the best coffee in Torridon in my opinion and far superior to the coffee you get in most places. We enjoyed it so much I bought a bag of the beans to bring home with me!For our journey home we bought soup and sandwiches and although it was simple fare it was absolutely delicious and a fitting end to our trip.Highly recommended...

Great cake coffee scones and bacon butty some of the best around Service great All made fresh Log fire going local shop

As for the store, it is fairly well stocked and has a range of vegan options, however if you're buying more than 4 or 5 items, you'd be better off financially driving into Inverness. £1.98 is a ridiculous price for a Broccoli. Everything is overpriced, I understand that it is a remote area, but it's not the Arctic circle.

Soooo lovely & sooo 'Brilliantly' VeganCalled in last week ( Nov 4th ) after a brilliant walk around Loch Cuilin & Loch Clair & a drive through the 'Immense' Glen - Lovely home made soup, toasted sandwiches & breakfast rolls in a warm & pleasant environment.Great little store, very welcoming with the most amazing selection of 'home made' vegan cakes & sandwich options. My daughter was so pleased with her vegan options ( Thank you ), the Coffee is lovely too & the staff more than happy to offer dairy free spreads & milks.Bigger local restaurants & hotels could learn a hell of a lot about customer care, & menus that represent the diversity required to provide food in today's retail environment. We left with half of the cakes & scones - as a take away ^_^ - stocked up on some general supplies & bought some cards !!Thank you so much - we appreciated your efforts - very wholesome !The Burke Family - Bakewell !Am Ploc - Is a fascinating stop & I would urge anybody to make time for a detour into Torridon village to the cafe & the free church
