Very comfortable hotel and still showing us that it is a castle. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We ate in Restaurant both nights we were there with same menu being available in the bar. The food and presentation was excellent a huge thank you to the Chef and his staff. Highly recommended

We were totally disappointed with the room bed aAnd evening meal unrecognisable supposed! chips plus under cooked aNd fish and batter overcooked , but she did like the cheesecake . And the breakfast wasn't to our liking either.on paying what we were due the following morning I found we were charged £10 extra for a ghost tour etc that we didn't even book, which when we informed them was repaid into our account.

Had a great time the room was lovely the food was exceptional will be back thank you for are lovely experience. Stayed here in room 17 with the 4 poster bed was fantastic loved the smell of the open fire. Had dinner last night bruschetta was lovely then on to the venison. I must admit that I enjoyed the day 14th of Feb got up and had breakfast full Scottish the man that made sure we where happy with are breakfast was really welcoming and I would love to have had that kind of welcome on the first night. Also, the lovely lady at the reception on the 14th was very lovely and let us go and have a look for the resident ghost. Unfortunately, we did not find the resident ghost but we loved every second of this visit. Thank you for the experience and the great time we had. We will be back

Was very lovely and nice hotel, staff were very friendly and ghost/history tour was amazing. Only disappointment was there wasn’t any vegetarian/vegan options for dinner as only had one vegetarian starter, and nothing else, luckily we had already eaten elsewhere so it wasn’t much of an inconvenience but other than that everything else was perfect.

Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Good food, clean and comfortable rooms. Nice Bar and Ross was excellent. Will definitely visit again. Thank you.👍

Me and my friend stayed here and had a great time. The room was lovely and clean, and fine and warm. Very comfy beds and pillows. The food was delicious and they offered a fantastic selection. All the staff we spoke with were so lovely and friendly. We both went on the ghost tour which was informative and interesting.. Only downside was we didn't encounter any ghostly going ons! Would highly recommend a visit.

Went for a weekend. Rooms looked amazing but we went on an itison deal. Would not recommend this. Think we had the servants room! Electric blow heater in the big dark cupboard for when the very old radiator wouldn't work.Very clean room but desperately needs refurbished. Good food and pleasant staff.

All I can say is wow!An amazing castle with amazing staff.They went above and beyond for us, providing incredible service for our stay.The food was great, and I would highly recommend eating here.A genuine old Scottish castle with fantastic charm

Honeymoon trip, The staff at reception were lovely and welcoming, room 12 amazingly beautiful with beautiful fourposter bed and castle balcony, but sticky dirty on furniture, so had to wipe around myself but can't shift the sticky, so no idea what it is .off on the ghost Hunt to tonight looking forward to it, food in restaurant was horrendous had the steak tonight tasted like last week's veg dried up and microwaved, the steak not good and the dessert was foul but there are plenty of other restaurants in the area so not a problem will eat out tomorrow,

We really enjoyed our two nights here with our dogs in the luxury suite room (lovely four poster bed). The staff were helpful and polite. Our evening meals were really delicious and the menu choice good. The breakfasts were okay. The vouchers from my hotel dot com were very good value.
