Urquhart's Restaurant in Highland

10/10. I would 100% come back to this restaurant when in Inverness. There's such a great foodie restaurant scene in this city but it's £££. This restaurant lives up to the quality without leaving you skint. Proper fresh, homecooked style food, in a cosy upstairs restaurant. Delicious seafood and a great varied menu, to suit everyone.

For of us had an excellent lunch here recently. Plenty to choose from the menu + daily specials board. Staff excellent and very efficient. Would most certainly go back again, hopefully soon. Would recommend booking in advance.

Visited for lunch, after a welcoming entry we were seated. We arrived early so it was quiet but it quickly filled up to the point we were glad we booked. Lunch mains were lovely and filling. The menu isn't exotic but they take simple meals and make them filling and nice. Kids meals were great value and nice to see a mix of the adult menu and a kids specific menu. Desserts looked good too and my daughter can highly recommend the Highland mess. Very reasonably priced , good quantity and great quality. Will definitely be back and I can see why they are so busy.. The food is spectacular, it’s so tasty! My husband and I travel all around Scotland and this is one our favourites. We had a beef pie, Brie deep fried and Haggis’s bonbons. Good size of plates!

Awesome food. The day we went, their Soup of the day was Mushroom Soup and it was really amazing one of the best I had. Their Fish Pie and Scampi dish were fresh and tasted really good. Make sure you book before you go usually if it's busy they prefer booking rather than walk in!!

We went as a party of 4 adults and 3 children. There was a good child's menu selection. The adults had 3 courses and the food was great. It was a nice atmosphere with friendly staff and would recommend it to anyone. We all enjoyed our meals. We were last leaving the restaurant for closing time and they did not rush us or tell us we had to finish up either which was nice (although we wanted to leave timely to let the staff close up). Great service and very welcoming!

Small restaurant located first floor (staircase!). Although it appears relatively common in the first place, the cuisine turned out to be quite noteworthy. All our dishes were tasty and nicely served. Staff was pleasant, helpful and always available. Prices are reasonable.
