Popped in after a walk at the beach and needed something hot. We had the deep fried sausage and chips and could not have been happier. I had battered sausages whilst my friend had plain, and they were just perfect. The skip had just opened for the day and both the sausages and the chips were obviously cooked in fresh oil. Piping hot and not too greasy, with salt for me and vinegar for my friend. Very recommended.

Tried this chipshop for the first time. Got fish and chips was disgusting and swimming in greese. The fish had no taste. And could taste the oil. Worst chipper i have had. Would not recommend this. Everyones opinions are different tho. Your lucky it even got 1 star

Would have been 5 stars except for the fact that if you dine in they add £2 per item! Food very good - haddock and chips and scampi and chips.

Walked in to order and took about 30 minutes as they appeared busy with phone in orders. Unfortunately my ears were in agony as I couldn't avoid the 30 mins of gossip and drivel by staff who only temporarily took a break when customers came in. I should have stood out on the cold!Food-wise, the batter on the fish was very thick but not greasy and when we got to the fish itself, it was tasty. A lot of small bits in our chips which I normally enjoy bit there were so many.

Anyone who reads my reviews know that I love my fish and chips.Slight trepidation ordering here after reading some of the reviews. So what did I think?Lovely haddock, good size and a nice batter. Chips well cooked and tasty. Yes there are some small chips/ bits. If someone criticised this I would ask if they have ever put a potato in a chipping device. Of course the chips are not all uniform.Would I return ? Definitely.

Great chips, they are the sort that have a new potato crisp taste. The fish is cooked to perfection, however don't order the squid rings. I'd definitely eat here again, because besides the squid it's one of the best chippies I've eaten in.

There’s always a queue outside today being our last day of our week’s holiday we paid a visit all meals cooked to order the fish was so fresh you could taste the freshness and chips where nice not greasy disappointed with the batter thought it was slightly soggy inside decent menu decent prices

The vegan options are tasty and well priced. Bonus points for the girl who prepared the food and actually listened when we asked her to drown the chips in salt and vinegar. That's a rare find and we love her for it!

Such delicious fish and chips! So fresh and well-cooked. And there are picnic benches a short walk downhill so if the weather’s nice you can sit and enjoy the view along with your meal.
