The Clockhouse Restaurant in Moray

We visited with the whole family for a birthday lunch. We hadn't booked in advance, but just turned up, and a table for 5 of us was made ready really quickly. Everyone enjoyed the food, we picked the salmon fillet with wild garlic butter and new potatoes, from the specials menu. The kids chose the fish and chips in beer batter (gluten free), and BLT sandwiches from the lunch menu. All thoroughly enjoyable with no left overs. Recommended for future visits.

Delightful decor. Welcoming atmosphere. Efficient, friendly (amusing) service. Delicious, beautifully presented food. 4 of us, were very, very impressed by the quality of ingredients, the skill of the chef and all that contributed to us having a lovely, memorable evening.

Absolutely wonderful place. The food is out of this world and the staff are welcoming and very friendly. I can't wait for this place to open up again in march. Could not fault one single aspect of our experience.

I travelled 90 miles today to eat at your Restaurant and the opening times information says you are open. BUT YOU ARE CLOSED!. OK.. I should have called before starting off but I am very disapointed that you cannot update your opening times for potential customers.

Absolutely fantastic service, welcoming staff and homely atmosphere. The food was beyond perfect, soft, juicy and the flavours were beautiful. I'd recommend the red deer venison and the blooming green teas. Honestly I'd travel the 9hrs just to come back here on my next holiday as the food was worth it.

We ate here yesterday, we had our dog with us so we sat outside but the food, atmosphere and service were all wonderful. We had the game terrine and prawn cocktail for starter, followed by the steak burger and venison dish (from the specials board). The food was fantastic, the prices were fair and the staff were lovely. Thank you!

Very nice, although they don't serve hot food until 12 noon, but the scones are quite delicious.

This place is serving lovely food with a distinctive Scottish twist. The venison terrine is a well portioned starter and called "Still game", we had the haddock and pork steak for mains. Both were really tasty. The staff is friendly and attentive. Currently reservations are necessary but this should change soon.

Just passing through, we stopped to try this place. Great food and service. We had a scotch while waiting for a table, and the. Tried the venison and lamb. Both were very good.

Good atmosphere, tasty food, fresh products, well balanced menu with options that are not commonly available and make the whole experience special. Portions are very generous, kids menu and gluten-free dishes available
