The Northern Fish in Moray

Always has been a good place for a chippy, I love the interior set up and i hope it stays the same when its sold on.

First rate fish and chips , family run since 1952...

Very, very disappointing chippy, 5.60 for a tiny smoked battered sausage supper. Batter wasn't crisp, chips where in short supply and greasy not crisp, with a slightly strange taste to the oil. My wife and I ordered tea and coffee and the waitress had to inform us which was which as they both looked the same colour. One of the worst chippys I've ever been into, I should really have sent it all back and not paid. Just glad I didn't order anything else. Strange because a review on here shows massive portions of fish and chips and a proper cup of tea, not an insipid cup of brown-grey water. Certainly won't be back!

Been going here for many years with the family, staff are attentive & nice & food is always amazing & Northern Fish restaurant. Place is always spotlessly clean, its definitely one of the best chippers around.

Fast and friendly service. Good portion size, but if you're hungry ask for large. We will be back

Read the opening times wrong so I called as soon as they opened. Because of that I had to wait for the oil to heat up but it was well worth it. Scrumptious fish and delicious chips which I highly recommend. In covid times they take phone orders for pick up or you can place your order at the door. Dine-in area had to be closed off due to government restrictions.

One of the best fish suppers I've had. People complain that it's a bit more expensive but it's worth every penny. Quality guaranteed. I have no idea why everyone goes to the dump a little further down the street!

The worst chips I’ve ever had. I asked for the large portion. So overpriced. The portion was a small size and tasteless. The consistency was dry. The white pudding was disgusting. Nothing was like the pictures I saw online. I tried another white pudding on Skye and it was really nice not dry and tasteless like the one they gave me.The toilet was dirty, the floor wet.Also, I didn’t feel welcome at all. The owner and the staff are so rude that I wish I didn’t order while I was waiting for my take away to be ready. I felt so uncomfortable.After eating such a small dinner portion I was still so hungry I had to go to get another meal in a close pub.The worst experience during my Scottish holidays! Avoid this!
