Went to the coach house in Buckie for a large family meal. We had booked and pre ordered our food. On arrival they had prepared the large table area for us to sit. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We had a mixture of food from the normal menu and the Indian menu. The food was outstanding quality and portion size was very large. Everyone was very impressed with their food and left with full tummies. Overall it was a fantastic evening and surpassed all our expectations. Thank you to all the staff and chef for making this a great evening. Will definitely be returning and recommending to everyone.

Had nachos for a starter that was very nice however my main course of macaroni and cheese was less than an great.Plus we waited 20+ minutes for each course when there was no one else in.Unfortunately the whole experience was soured by the fact that I ended up being sick after the whole meal.

This has to be one of the worst B&B's ive ever stayed at, For the price of the rooms you would expect some at least semi modern decor but this place looks like its right out of trainspotting! £10 for breakfast where one of the options is literally Egg & Toast. To really top it all off They blast the same 5 Pop Songs in the lounge everynight making it next to imposible to get a decent sleep before 10pm, I urge any business's looking to put there workies in here to stay faaaaar away, unless you want a grumpy and underslept workforce.

Had a meal last night . Indian food was not good . I had korma which didn’t taste like korma . It was very very watery . My mum had pathi which was awful just tasted like cutney far too sweet . It was very watery as well . Only one taste put back but still charged for it . Member of staff serving us was very polite . My husband had fish and chips chips which was excellent . Would recommend the pub traditional food would not recommend the Indian

Place is run down but can see signs of improvement. Room was clean and had a powerful shower. Had the full breakfast which was the biggest breakfast I've ever had. Had a meal one night which was excellent. Hope it works out for new owners, would like to go back to see how it turns out

I can only comment on the meal, as i was not a resident here.I had a mixed grill, and for the price tag of £17.95 i had high expectations. The staff were very friendly, the place was very tidy, nice decor. The meal comes out, it's a very big plate of food which was well presented, the quality of steak was lovely, and the black pudding was very nice indeed. The only thing that let this meal down, was the cheap sausage, i'd of rather paid an extra £1 for a decent sausage, as the one i ate, had the texture of cheap rubbery mechanically recovered/reformed meat.Nevertheless, thanks for a great experience

After staying here just over 4 yrs ago, and thoroughly enjoying it, we were very happy to book a room for 2 at The Old Coach House Hotel in Buckie. Allocated the tiniest of rooms, I felt it was a single room with a double bed in it, but apparently not. It was very cold and the radiator just about got warm, even though for 3 days of our stay there was thick frost for much of the day. The toilet seat was broken and imho was dangerous. My 79yr old husband fell off it the first time he visited the loo. We were given the chance to change rooms from no. 6 to no. 7 and given the key to the room next door. Alas the toilet seat in no. 7 was no better. Not wanting to try others in the hope of eventually finding one which was safe, we settled for the original room. After we reported the state of those 2 toilets there was no attempt to have them repaired. Likewise one of the shower doors, which was hanging loose. The bedroom was so small that each time I walked round the bed end I tripped over the sheet which hung down at the end of the bed. It was a squeeze to get past the tv, which was on a shelf in a corner. It was very awkward staying in such a tiny room. When the room was serviced the following day we were left enough milk for 1 cup of tea/coffee each, and the following day we had enough milk for just one drink between us. My husband asked for more milk and this was promised shortly. Since lunchtime service was in progress we had to wait until this had finished. We were supplied with a handful of milk sachets. These were plenty but when the room was serviced again we were left with only 2 sachets in total! So again, later in the day we had to wait until someone had time to bring us some more. On the plus side the wifi was free and breakfast and the only lunch we had there, with some friends, were good. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful although in short supply. It was obvious to us that the hotel had changed hands as there was a big difference from the last time we stayed there in December 2014 and we will not be staying there again. Cheap it might be, cheerful it most certainly wasn't.
