The Seafood Cafe Findhorn in Moray

Nice place to eat, especially when the weather is good and it is quite.

Excellent food. Smashing service and a beautiful location. Best meal I've had in a long time! Kids were very happy too. Next time I'll remember to take a bottle as there's no alcohol, but no charge if you want to take one in.It'll be next year by the time we get to come back, but we're planning our trip to include it!

The Seafood Cafe has 2 entrances, 1 from the path that runs alongside the shoreline and the other from the street that it shares with The Findhorn Yacht Club, however, using this entrance can be problematic as it's not well signed, I ended up in the bar of the yacht club asking for directions. Once in you'll find a small single room, simply furnished but with comfortable chairs. There is a small menu with a small specials list. Reading previous reviews we made sure that we got there just after seven, it wasn't full and we were shown to a table immediately. 2 of us chose the Prawn Cocktail starter and our 3rd member chose The Cullen Skink. Before they arrived we were served with a very small appetiser on a spoon of a small piece of smoked fish on a bed of salad which was gorgeous and set the tone for the rest of the evening. The starters arrived shortly afterwards and proved to be delicious, The Cullen Skink especially so, if I may quote "I could kiss whoever made this". For mains we ordered The Venison and Chorizo Burgers which came with a good portion of skinny fries, salad and a spicy slaw. Our 3rd member had The Green Curry with local seafood and rice. Excellent quality food backed up with excellent service and if we lived locally we would be in there as often as possible. Oh and did I mention the bill? 3 starters, 3 mains and 5 drinks £63.50. Tasty and juicy venison and chorizo burger, Cullen Skink and Fish and Chips. Everything was very good but I would say that the chibatta pizza (with beans and chips) was a little bit too small eventhough it was from the childrens meny. The Seafood Cafe don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own bottle of wine (without any additional cork fee). They do have some nice softdrinks including Pink Grapefruit.

Beautiful food although not masses of it but fine for a lunch. Maybe a bit on the pricey side for what we had but shall definitely return as what we had was very tasty

Google has it open until 9PM. My wife and I showed up at 8:04 and were told that last seating is at 8 - plenty of tables open and we are carrying our bottle of wine (they have no liquor license so its byob). We were tuned away. I've come across half the world and I'm 4 minutes past your cut off and you can't seat me.... really? I dont care how good your food is..you are in the SERVICE industry...make an effort
