Stopped here for a meal with my family and i was over the moon with the service (servers were down to earth) and the food, the kids loved the food (they are hard to please lol)and the burger i had was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth , the wife had the gammon steak and said it was lovely ...... highly recommended

Not sure how this place has so many good reviews as i’d say its 2* at best. The room had one warm white lightbulb and the other was like something out of a medical theatre, no valances on the beds, found someones grievance letter from 2020 in the wardrobe, shower was hot at least. There was also a dog running up and down the hallway outside my room barking around 21:00 haha. Dinner was not bad, my choice of scotch broth and macaroni was made for me as its all there was veggie on menu. When we checked in we were told that breakfast was a packed lunch, I just agreed as I couldnt really imagine a packed lunch for breakfast… it was a can of coke, ham and cheese sandwich, whispa and some roast chicken crisps, nobody was around so no tea or coffee either. Maybe this should actually be a 1 star rating.

Lovely food and very pleasant staff

Brilliant food! Portions were massive. You can book space in the restaurant even if you're not staying in the hotel. Also, just a generally nice place to visit - clean and well turned out. They had fresh roses for Valentine's day, which was a lovely touch.

Food was delicious , service could not have been better and staff so attentive. Cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely go back.

Easily a 5* recommendation from me as we had a lovely meal at the Ugie last night. The staff are always friendly and the food was excellent. I can aways recommend the salt and pepper chicken starter...it's yummy. Their prices are really good too. Where else could you get a tbone steak and trimmings for £17.50 (on the specials menu last night, not a regular choice). If you're a fan of sticky toffee pudding they make one of the best, and they don't scrimp on the toffee sauce like some places. Well worth a visit. 😁👍

Very nice , comfortable restaurant, a comfy and cosy seated area to have a drink and wait for food to be prepared.menu quite good range on lunch menu but not if you are a veggie. We all enjoyed what we had except for fried rice which was completely tasteless. We only had one course lunch so can't comment on starters and desserts. Pleasant outdoor space with open views. Staff friendly and efficient. We will go back.
