Rooms were much like the Premier Inn by means of decoration though the bed was possibly 1 of the hardest most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in.

·

Nice enoigh but always feel like the staff have very little interaction with you.

Two of us stayed one in the hotel other in the annex hotel rm dated annex much better.Cooked breakfasts only start at 7.30 amShould be 7 am for people who have to start at 8 am.Food in the dining room was good but the staff didn't seem to bother if you wore a mask or not to wander aboutAlso in the dining rm the fire ext seems to be used as the smoking door not great especially if your at the table next to it.Yes the proper dining rm is under renovation but the highlighted issues would probably be the same in that dining room

Arrived and had to bang on the door for attention which took some time , once in was told to use the automatic system to book myself in even though there was someone on reception so I did but it didn't work and the receptionist had to do it .I stayed in a newly refurbished room which was very nice . Shower was pretty poor ,sprayed freezing cold.water into my face and struggled to aim it away from the door but eventually got it under control but pretty weak water pressure so disappointing . Had stayed here before so was looking forward to tattie scones and haggis but had a self service buffet option with no tattie scones or Haggis and the food that was available was disappointing, bacon under cooked and eggs both hard yolks and runny whites which is quite an achievement .

This was the most expensive hotel in a 3 week tour of the islands. The room was average but the breakfast was very poor. Buffet food served barely warm onto cold plates meant that it wss stone cold before you finished. All bfast swimming in oil.

The rooms are lovely with sea views the dinners in the restaurant are good. Slight problem with the fish risotto but the chef sorted straight away. We had a bottle of wine the first night a lovely Rioja and as we did not finish it they did not mind us bringing it back the second night. Breakfast was simple and straightforward. As we are leaving early in the morning we were able to book a grap and go bag

Very short staffed, 3 running around ordering. serving, clearing and checking in guests and drinks at the bar. Otherwise food was good, just allow time. Pub side a bit of a locals, biker pub feel. Glad to move to restaurant side asap

Well maintained bright rooms.Comfortable bed.All other areas within the hotel are tastefully decorated.Evening meal selection is v/good. Breakfast is excellent with full Scottish, cereals, yoghurt, fruit and cereal bars.Staff cannot do enough to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Stayed here as part of an organised coach tour to Orkney. Breakfast and dinner included in package. Good breakfast however food at dinner was definitely hit and miss. Woefully understaffed at times.Medium sized bedroom with ensuite. Power shower was excellent. No housekeeping done in our 3 day stay so had to request change of towels. Very weird not coming back to a made bed and tidy room.

We stayed in the two room apartment which was perfect for a family of four, with a kitchen and living room and parking just beside it. Immaculately clean and smart with very comfortable beds and excellent location just a few minutes walk from Kirkwall town centre. This apartment is very suitable for the disabled with a disabled friendly shower and wide corridors and doorways.Very expensive for just two nights, although you do get a high quality and very clean apartment for the money. A little difficult to find staff at reception. Since the apartment sleeps four easily, it would be good to have a table and chairs for four people to eat (there was only a small table and two chairs, so two of us had to eat on our knees on the sofa). Would have been nice to have a shelf to store toiletries and a closing toilet seat.
