The Watersound Hotel in Orkney Islands

A fabulous hotel. Astounding views. Very kind helpful staff. Our room was gorgeous, big comfortable bed, lovely bathroom - well equipped. Great breakfasts, lavish dinners. Enjoyed it so much.

Absolute superb food quality, ambience, and customer service with a smile. Prices are mid-high, but extremely good value for money for the quality of dishes. Wifi available too. Probably one of the top 3 restaurants in Orkney.

The hotel was clean well appointed and the stay were very welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent we ate in bar which was very comfortable and my brother and sister were celebrating their 60ieth birthday ieth and thr staff joined in the celebration. With any luck future visits to Orkney will be based st the Sands. My son would love to spend Christmas there in the future. the din room which was very friendly.

Convenient for ferry, small and quaint beside the sea shore and fishing boats. Lovely suite for family with everything you wish for and comfortable. Food delicious. I had the hand dived scallops and they were superb. Breakfast is ordered the night before and the menu is extensive and good sized portions. Overall top quality. I would stay here again and recommend.

The food was superb but unfortunately there was a big party enjoying themselves which made it a bit noisy. Nobody's fault and it's good to see people enjoying themselves but it did spoil or experience a bit. I will definitely go back again.
