The General's Grill in Barking and Dagenham

trading standard must close down this restaurant down for misleading advert saying "authentic turkish". They are from indian background same as me. how can they say its authentic. I went there to eat, i found out they are not turkish at all. Thats why the food taste horrible, they dont know hot cook turkish meal, no chance at all. they should put name as a indian restaurant, they would do better than turkish. 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 star.

They are using left overs!!!!!!!!Absolutely horrible experience of take away food. I have ordered from Uber eats and collect it as delivery time wasn’t good enough as we was hungry. Ordered shared plate for £30. I found in my mixed sheesh bitten kefte and color if it was like someone chewed and spit it back.All my family members notice it in the middle of eating. Someone got sick gone sick! It’s horrible!!!!

NEVER AGAIN!!!Wish l could l would award 0 stars . Six of us came ,none of us enjoyed our food . Extremely Over salted ,with odd pretaste and aftertaste as if previous day leftovers . So overpriced. Hoping not to get food poisoning although that was my first thought having my first bite. Don't waste your time here. Costumers leaving 5 star ratings don't have any idea what good feast taste like !

Had a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience with my family. The General aka owner was on hand which is always good to see. He and his staff provided excellent customer service throughout. I would recommend a visit to this place if you are local. Pricing was also very reasonable which was an added bonus.

Really Lovely food, extremly friendly owner and hard working.Constructive criticism maybe get the waitress/waiter to serve their own area. That way they will know who's orders have been taken for food and drink.Really fresh food, well prepared and presented. Good atmosphere in here. Really recommend! Please be patient if they are busy. Food worth the wait.

Food not quality, had fish meal it tasted burnt no flavour even after adding salt and pepper, fish seemed like it had been on a diet, I didn't even bothered to eat it.One of girl serving standing full view of customers eating lollipop another on her phone not a good look.Also door left open it was freezing cold while trying to eat.Would not recommend

The Generals Grill is a relatively new place. From the outside it looks appealing however they decided to stick a table of four very close to the door, there is no one to welcome you, you have to go to them which was our experience, wasn't busy at all except there was a very large family of more than 10. We were sat down and given plates and cutlery along with the menus a minute or two later. 2-3 mins must have past and the waitress comes to ask if we are ready? We just sat down not long ago. We finally ordered the chef's special platter for 2-3 to share at £20 along with a proton of chips which I believe was £2.50 and some drinks. Followed along closely came the bread which was bit hard and not soft, sauces, salad, cold meze, and drinks which came quick. The food didn't take too long either. Overall the food was delicious, can't fault them on the food at all, quality and portion along with the price was spot on! I would definitely come back to this place. If you like Turkish food or want to try gourmet burgers at a Turkish restaurant then this place definitely requires a visit.

Absolutely amazing food! Flavours are authentic and service is the best you can get. The doner kebabs here are a must!
