I live off Green Lanes, the best Turkish restaurants are here and I've also just came back from Istanbul. The food isn't bad and would give a 4 out of 5, salad, bread, tzatziki and Turkish tea at the end of the meal, standard, I wasn't disappointed. But the service, firstly handed the menu then told it was 'cash only', shouldn't you be stating that with a sign on the door before people walk in and sit down? Then felt awkward when ordering food with my guest as the waiter hovered suggesting I order starters. The rest of the service was fine. When asked for the bill, it came, service wasn't included, however I only had notes so I waited for change. I was prepared to leave service/tip but not 20% Sat for 10 mins and no one came to check or pick up. In the end my guest had change and ended up paying pretty much exact. They clearly have one of the better restaurants around in Barking but needs a little work on service and customer experience

Awesome atmosphere especially after the refurbishment.Tasty food with fresh meat and friendly staff. Great service with complimentary Turkish breads and Turkish Tea.Unfortunately no car parking and pricey food.

The staff were sort off polite and attentive but one of them caught my attention at the end when I was unhappy because I did not liked my sarma chicken beyti and also we have not been checked ( check back) if we are ok with our food after we were served!!! And also I gave it back the dish which again I haven’t eaten and I was SHOCKED WHEN I WAS CHARGED FOR IT, and kind of forced to pay for it saying that it will do take away for us. Never ever seen such service from a waiter like him!Never ever coming back, so dissatisfied and left a bad taste in my mouth that I’ve never such things!!!Disgusting sort it out please or train your people because this kind of behaviour is unnatural and unacceptable and mark my word you (the owners) will loose customer of the staff carries on like that!!!!Thank you so much,

This is a little jewel in Barking.Excellent customer care service, very generous portions for the price. The ambiance and size of the venue is very adequate for parties.Food was very tasty, a little too salty on some dishes, that's the reason for 4 stars otherwise it would be a 5.1 minute away from Barking station and bus stops.Would definitely be going again to try different dishes.

Lovely restaurant. Great ambience and interior design. On the food we ordered, the BBQ chicken and fries was tasty and nice. The mixed shish was well seasoned and juicy. The fish finger and fries was fresh and tasty. The salad and bread were excellent. Then comes the Lamb shank (kleftiko) and rice. I was quite disappointed with the rice. I prefer basmati rice but this was long grain rice and it wasn't well seasoned in my opinion. The Lamb shank was ok in terms of texture. I would have loved it to fall even more off the bone. The shank came in a soup and the soup could do better with some more seasoning as well. When it came to paying for our food, they said they don't take cards but cash only. I was shocked. The waiter gave some sub-story about COVID-19 affecting delivery. I think that's the worst excuse ever. I was very disappointed with that. Even ice-cream vans have card payment systems. Other than these, the waiters and waitresses were nice and professional. So I'm giving an overall 4 star.

Pros: Good ambience, spacious, friendly, attentive & helpful staff, 4 star hygiene rating and good serving sizes.Cons: More expensive than other similar turkish cuisine places. They do not accept cash - no signage that i could see regarding this and is the only reason why I am taking aways 2 stars. Just by luck, I had a few quids on me and hence didn't have to dash for a nearby cashpoint.Won't go out of my way to visit this place again.

Went with work colleagues for the first time for lunch and had a pleasant experience. Upon arriving we were immediately made to feel very welcome, and our waiter offered suggestions of what to order - see picture. The food came promptly and was delicious, with free Turkish tea to finish off the meal. Unfortunately card payments were not accepted, and while browsing the menu I did not fancy paying almost £3 for a soft drink. Other than that, I would happily return here again.
