Catcher in the Rye in Barnet

Went to the catcher a few days ago with my husband, we were very keen to try out some nice pub food . Well let me tell you , we were not disappointed! The food , especially for the price, was excellent, I particularly enjoyed the chicken schnitzel 😍 whilst my husband was very impressed by the quality of the steak and Ale pie 🥧 absolutely loved it ! The pub had a great atmosphere, had a cute and rustic feel to it , and the staff were great too , Cristian and Andra looked after us well 😀.

This pub never disappoints had a fantastic evening last night with friends, the atmosphere was excellent really good vibe drinks were tasty and can’t wait for my next visit

Big fan of this pub - lovely space & staff are always extremely welcoming, particularly Cate who always has a smile on her face! 10/10 service!

The blonde barmaid with the eyebrows sculpted by the gods is so helpful she can read my mind and knows exactly what Drink I want. Psychic. Anyways, they have a great vegan selection of food and their vegan chocolate orange desert is fantastic! Also the book is pretty great almost as great as the pub. Pretty Xmas lights and decorations too a great atmosphere overall.

We popped in impromptu ! What an amazing lil bar 🍸! Sonia ( a lovely member of staff) was fabulous.. Lovely food and very welcoming atmosphere... Great food. We will be coming back for sure. Thank you for a great evening ! 😊

Dog friendly pub with great food and nice staff. The team was very considerate about our request of table in a corner because we’re bringing our dog. The food was really good and it felt homey. This is definitely a place I would revisit many times.

A gem of a pub, really well kept. Attentive and friendly Manager JJ & Team. Quality well cooked food and good selection of wines. Atmosphere was relaxed and the decor charming.Also dog friendly! Can't wait to be back 😊

The waiting staff was very nice and caring. The atmosphere and the decor were quite good. The cocktails were good but I put 3 stars because the food was a bit hit and miss. We couldn't eat our dessert but the waitress was kind enough not to charge them.
