China Cottage in Barnet

Tried this last night first time and had a few different dishes to try out , I was really impressed by the freshness of each dish and the taste of them. Have not had Chinese in years as being put off elsewhere but this place it’s absolutely delicious. The king prawns were cooked to perfection, everything else really tasty.. Would definitely recommend!

Never fails great food great service haven't found a better Chinese in London and believe me I have tried hundreds thank goodness its local to me,my kids all enjoy their food seven boys and one girl.

A great restaurant. I leave 4 stars for now just because last time's order wasn't quite as mind blowingly good as I remembered. But I am about to order again tonight, lets see hopefully its better. I will update the review accordingly if it deserves that extra, oh so elusive 5*****Update: Not quite as good in the end. Was very hungry so I did eat everything but there was something a bit "unfresh" about the ingredients and slightly greasy. This notwithstanding, I have decided to leave the 4 stars for now based on previous excellent experiences and plan to return for the third and final tasting in about a week or so, stay tuned.

The Best Chinese Takeaway in the area.Reasonably priced,friendly staff and the food is cooked to perfection!

We order here regularly, very friendly, cheap and cheerful and we never wait longer then 20 minutes for our order. The lady always goes an extra mile to make sure my dads noodles. My dad loves his S7 noodle dish and inbetween his business trips he always visits here at least once.

I really like the food here. Basic Chinese menu. Plenty i haven't tried but what i have had has been good. You can tell a good Chinese by the pancake rolls...crispy and crunchy not dripping in oil. May have to wait a bit when busy. She doesn't have the art of banter and small talk...abrupt...like most. Annoyingly they close at random times...like when you really fancy a bit.

Best Chinese takeaway in Finchley . If they ever decided to deliver, it would be perfect. So many times I have fancied a takeaway but have not had the time to go collect. Such a shame.

Cannot understand the negative reviews posted here. The best Chinese takeaway for miles around.Hot and sour soup is a must as are the Singapore noodles and the spare ribs with chilli and pepper are great.Pricing perfectly reasonable, and yes at busy times expect to have to a wait, but always worth waiting for.

This is an excellent Chinese take-away. As far as I am concerned the best I've had in London. The couple I bought my house from both studied in Beijing and said the food was so authentic it reminded him very much of China.

Not too good sorry to say, raw squid that tasted like flour and a lamb dish that had no meat just onions. We also ordered some dry bites and had no sauce to come with it, I would have thought that would be an obvious thing. In general it was bland and in my opinion not a good quality Chinese, I've had much better.
