Flames Restaurant in Barnet

The food looked awful, full of parsley and the chips were full of oil. The waiter attitude was not welcoming and we had to wait for the food for 35 min. The only nice thing was the live music but the rest was horrible.

We were looking for somewhere to eat with easy parking and I remembered Flames. There was no one in there when I arrived at lunchtime. The starter was filo cheese parcels which tasted frozen as there was water inside. I sent my main back twice, moussaka, as it was just about warm on the inside but it still came back cold. I was two days old and kept in the fridge! I was angered by the response of the 'chef' who was laughing at the fact that I had sent the dish back twice, then she was shouting withing earshot about how it's not warm and going on and on about it. My friends fish was very bony and we were in there far longer than we wanted to be. I won't ever be coming back to this near empty restaurant.

This restaurant is truly an amazing all rounder. Excellent food and service from the moment we walked in to when we paid and left. I was in a large group and the staff were extremely accommodating making sure we had enough drinks and starters. Everything was very well priced and great quality. The chicken is halal which is a bonus as I’ve never been to a Greek halal restaurant - they are really changing the game! Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion

So imagine my disappointment. I book a table with this restaurant online, only to receive a weird email days later acknowledging receipt of my booking...sort of. I booked a birthday dinner and have not been here before but thought I'd try. I called to confirm today. After trying 3 times after their opening time with no reply, I've been told there will be no food served....at a venue that has restaurant in the title. So no birthday dinner for me. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never waste my time trying to go here ever I future.

Made a reservation for my birthday and nobody got back to me. Called about 12 times and no one answered me. The food looked great but didn't even get to try it. Better customer service please.

Very nice atmosphere, very friendly. Saturday set menu and live entertainment. Was first time there, I really liked it. The only problem for myself was they had pork as well within there set menu which I didn't know about. So next time I'll ask to have my menu without pork. Will go again.

The Health and Safety is appauling.They served us water in 4 different broken glass jars despite we complaint about it.

Amazing staff, excellent service and excellent food. Live music on weekends with dancing. Very welcoming environment
