I love this branch of Gail's but quite often when visiting there is some problem. They don't seem to make the hot food that is listed on the menu and there is often a problem with the coffee machine.

Food and coffee great but staff a bit standoffish. I was disappointed they couldn't toast my Hot cross bun considering they provided toasted baegel!

Always good coffee, bread and pastries. One of my fav Gail in the city.

Today the Manager decided that she is not going to serve more breakfast. She said they can not make toasted bread (in a bakery with a baker? In place) so annoying

Did someone say bakery? Lovely customer service? And a gorgeous cuppa? If so this place answers all those questions with a gigantic yes!Located in the heart of Muswell Hill, this bakery is constantly busy and has a great selection of freshly baked goods. I'm not usually one for ordering a tea however on this occasion Gail's hit the spot with the warming cuppa.Brilliant customer service.5* Would recommend on overall experience 👍🏼

Despite being part of a fairly large chain Gail's Muswell Hill inexplicably manage to blend into the Hill's homely atmosphere and add a bit of modern gold standard to the local cafe scene.Friendly and professional staff, who even when the place is extremely crowded in the morning never fail to cheer you up with a joke (if one needs cheering up) or respond to yours, which is rare in our age of raging NPCs taking over our banks and cafes.Triple macchiato in a small clay cup is particularly good this Christmas season!

Not quite as beautiful bakery interior as other Gail's I have visited but the same amazing food all the same.

Website says they open at 6:30am, Google says they open at 7am. Here at 7:15am and they are still not open. Please update your hours, and consider pointing out that the kitchen only opens at 8:30am too.

Usually happy with Gail's but this time around I was disappointed. The pastries were really good but I was let down by an underwhelming tea which was served in a wonky tea pot with a damaged strainer. The toilet was also missing the toilet and there was barely any hand soap left. Not happy.

I have visited Gail's for the first time to sit down and have a light breakfast with coffee. My espresso was a ristretto (very tiny and not enough water). My boyfriend's wasn't happy with a toast he ordered. He said that the bread should be cut thinner as it was difficult to eat. Serving staff is very kind and friendly. I think GAIL'S is known best for its bread. I have bought two different types of bread from them (sliced) and they were both exceptionally good! I would say 5 stars for the bakery but three for eating in.
