Lovely restaurant, have been coming for years and now with the new refurbishment looks wonderful. Waiters were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and fresh and didn’t take too long to arrive, tikka masala and tandoori is the most flavourful. I’m always pleased when I visit guru.

Came recently, nice to see the place done up now. Also new staff including an excellent award winning cheff now. Food quality has shot up again,Would recommend this place as not many curry houses left in the area.

Have been coming here for 10+ years. The atmosphere, food and prices used to be amazing. Unfortunately over lockdown they’ve redone the place, doubled the prices and reduced the quality.Really poor choice of lighting on the ceiling which makes the chicken in a curry appear pink and raw.It’s too quiet in the restaurant, it’s awkward.

I really enjoy Guru. The new layout and decor is nice and simple. The food had always been great and I like the Bangladeshi style of food (Bangla beer is really good).Guru and Sun and Sand are competing a shoot-out at the moment and they're neck and neck.

Had a take away over Christmas. Quite disappointed, as things seem to have changed for the worse. The Guru used to serve up excellent food, decent portion sizes and at reasonable prices.Prices have been massively increased, and the food quality is just about acceptable, but nowhere near as good as it used to be. If I am paying these increased prices I expect much better food.Such a shame, The Guru was great for many years, but sadly this is no longer the case - now just average.

0 Value for money, as the portions are too small for what you pay. The service was horrendous, the waiter that served us (aged) had so much attitude and was so much of a rush. Got our order wrong as well and did not even come to apologise. The only time he would looked at us is when we wanted to order and when we had to pay. I would not recommend this place unless you want to get disappointed..
