Lotus House in Barnet

My chow mein was BURNT and inedible, complete let down. The sweet and sour chicken was decent but barely had any chicken. Squid was good but not enough garnishing.

Been their customer for years , food was always good and today was no exception.

There has been a change of owner, the food has improved and is I think more authentic.I have used this place on and off for many years, it was never very good in the past. However under the new management it has become our local Chinese takeaway of choice.Time will tell, I will update the review in the future.

Disgusting food...First time and will be my last time getting food from there. I found this on just eat thought it would be worth a gamble after seeing quite ok reviews. They got the the order wrong we ordered chicken mixed vegetables on the app and they gave us plain noodles. The other food we ordered was chicken curry , sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice, chicken balls (very dry and hardly had any chicken in),spring rolls ,chicken chow mein and chicken chilli. All of the food was bland and had no taste and appeared to be watered down with something. Plain water taste better then the chicken curry and the sweet and sour chicken. Also the egg fried rice was very yellow in colour. If I could give it 0 starts It would be too much

Absolutely disgusting meals. They sent a meat dish to a vegetarian and burnt chicken balls. Replaced after a phone call with equally as bad chicken balls and barely cooked rice, which they sold as fried rice (not in a million years). They also requested rejected food be returned! I would NOT suggest ordering from this takeaway under any circumstances and will not use it again.

The only thing I have ordered from here is sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice here and I love it. It's one of my go tos in Colindale . :)

STAY AWAY!! I have never had such bad food in my entire life, like ever. I ordered 9 dishes and not one of them had flavour and the sauces were all so watery. Not to mention when I left a review on Uber eats, the owner wrote back a rude message. I highly suggest you invest in some salt and manners before your “restaurant” is run into the ground xx

Top 3 worst meals I've ever almost had. After barely tasting it, had to throw it all in the bin.

Have been here quite a few times now, and all the dishes I have tried have been banging! Value for money is superb! So if you like Chinese cuisine definitely give this place a go! ;)

1hr and 12 mins for my order to arrive semi cold. £35.00 we spent and nothing tasted good . You can tell when a take out joint has given up , the plumb sauce was bland , the blackbean chicken was simply mush with no flavour, the sweet and sour pork was too heavy in orange goo and the prok and batter was dry and tough . So dissapointing .
