We would recommend this place to anyone - an underrated restaurant for food lovers who want proper Chinese food. We can never just order 2 portions of dumplings for “round 1” - always 3 or 4!! We recommend the pork which is our favourite - today we pointed out that the portion had got smaller recently and they gave us a bit more. Friendly family business, come and support them, and get stuck into some amazing food!

A real Leytonstone attraction. We loved all the dishes we were served, with a real and authentic family restaurant. The dumplings were very generous and tasty.

First time I have visited this dim sum cafe, I must say the dim sum really did lack taste and flavour. Also, really over priced for a little cafe. The rice and chicken mea didn’t taste of much, Shanghai pork buns tasted of nothing. I also ordered the special fried noodles, very greasy and very very salty, prawns were cooked well. But, the chicken was chewy and not a lot of it. Didn’t want to complain as they had a few tables. Never seen such a small portion of noddles for nearly £8.00!! Won’t be going back

Have you guys changed chef?I've eaten in Panda dozens of times over the years and chose to get it delivered for the first time yesterday with the tube being patchy, so this is a review of the takeaway only...Overall we were disappointed. The fried dumplings were dry and had no soup in them. The dan dan noodles were one dimensional and ungarnished. The prawns (usually our favourite dish) were underseasoned and not properly battered, it was more like they were glazed, and what batter they did have was very soggy and translucent; the onions were cooked but not particularly flavorsome. The were some upsides. The dan dan noodles were still tasty enough altough had become a bit of a block (delivery took about a few hours, so not surprising) and the sui mai was as good as ever, if cold. Were we not already big fans of Panda, this would have been a poor first show. The dishes just tasted different to usual. So either you were busy or someone else was cooking?!I have previous 5* reviews on other review sites for the eat-in which are still up, but I felt that a review was needed for the takeaway on here. Will try again next month and hopefully change it upwards.

Love the dumplings here! They are proper home made dumplings with generous, well seasoned filling. Not the tiny sad looking, bland ones that you get from the frozen section in the supermarket. When I went to collect my order, you can see the owners making the dumplings by hand.I highly recommend Panda Dim Sum Cafe and very happy to suport a family run business.I'll definitely be ordering from them regularly for my future dumpling cravings!

Exceptional local restaurant. So fresh, you can see the kitchen making the Dim Sum. The staff are so warm and you can BYOB. Honestly I cannot articulate fully how much I love this place. For me the Prawn chive dumpling, spicy chicken dumpling, double cooked pork and broccoli with vegetarian oyster are highlights. I am almost hesitant about giving this place away, but it's a gem to be shared.

Amazing food . Tried and experienced flavours I would have never tried before but I loved every single dish ! Great attentive and friendly staff, smiles all round. Really authentic and amazing experience, one I constantly recommend friends and family to visit because it really does what it does the best ! - make sure you book. Discovered this less than a week ago and it’s already on my top 5 restaurants in London. My favourites are : Aubergine / S/h pork dumplings and the sliced pork!

So usually the second time you visit a restaurant is not always as good especially when your first visit was exceptional. In this case I have to say my expectations were high and they did not disappoint again. The same high standard of food preparation all the way. I have eaten dim sum at many famous places in China town and many high profile central locations but this place completely outshines them all. Very fresh and very tasty! This has now become my Go-To place for dim sum and it should be yours!

Very delicious freshly made dim sum, especially enjoyed the fried special dumpling and steamed prawn dumpling. The Dan Dan Noodles was too oily and salty, I would prefer some peanut butter added to it as well. Overall it was really nice with the 50% off due to Eat out to Help out.

Panda is great, the dim sum is lovey and so are the other dishes, you will always be welcomed warmly and even if you haven’t booked they will try and fit you in the best they can.All the dim sum and bum options are great and you can’t go wrong, good vegi options also. The Chinese broccoli with garlic is great and the double cooked pork. The staff here are lovey and always happy to help and always have a smile. It’s BYOB bring your own booze, which is great (lots of shops around to grab a bottle etc). The decor is very simple but reminded me of some of the best dim sum places in Asia I had visited. The taste of the food was very similar to that of dim sum in Asia also. All the food is made there and you can see them preparing the dim sum and other dishes.Prices are not that bad either, well worth a visit and I will definitely be back.
