Just had an amazing lunch there today. The conservatory, where we were sat was outstanding. Service couldn't be faulted and the food equally good. Honestly, I could not fault it. The only reason they dropped a star from my point of view is because I felt I was spoken to somewhat rudely by a gentleman that could have been the owner. He made a point of speaking to me from across the entrance of the conservatory to ask me to stop my dog barking (dogs are allowed)! Not only did this come across rude, it was said quite loudly so that everyone could hear. That was completely unnecessary in my opinion. He even made a point to say that he thought that would have been understood. Whilst this did upset me, it did not stop me from enjoying the afternoon. I would definitely revisit - probably won't take the dog next time!

Food well worth any wait and the cost.We have waited up to 30 minutes previously for a table. The outdoor area is lovely and the heaters what seem small do feel nice but i dont think they would be half as good if we were not sat close to them.Service is usually warm and welcoming with any issues immediately rectified.I thoroughly look forward to a roast from here that doesn't involve me prepping, cooking or doing the washing up, I just wished they done a take away for work the following day!

Lovely restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff friendly and attentive. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu meal and would definitely eat here again when in the area. Thank you

Great food. Reasonable price and a car park is a must as this is very popular. Classic pub food. Efficient service, will go back

Our go to place for a Sunday roast. Very friendly service, feel at home atmosphere and good food 👌🏼

We were there for a family reunion. We were looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Staff were attentive, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Unfortunately I don't know the names of the staff who waited on us but it I do remember a girl with arm tattoos and a young lad. Sorry if you served us and I've forgotten you. I'm from the Midlands but will return again. Thank you all

The menu is great with lots to choose from and the specials board including lots of options for gluten free. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only problem is that they do not take bookings so once you have maneuvered the car park be prepared to wait for a table. But, I can promise you, the food is definitely worth the wait..

Been going to this place and it has not changed in the way they conduct their culinary skills. The crispy mushrooms taste the same as they did the day I tried em years ago. There fish cake with poached eggs very well made and taste really good. The new fish dish Teriyaki Salmon with sorba noodles beautifully executed dish. Excellent place for traditional and pub food.

A wonderful rustic pub perfect for Sunday roast! Not the most conveniently located as there aren't many parking spaces or free parking in nearby roads, but if you live close it would be best to walk.Didn't take long at all to get a table, and there hasn't been a huge queue to get in so there must be lots of space in the pub.Staff are very friendly and attentive, and food and drinks didn't take too long to come out so overall great service.Food portions were pretty generous, and the actual roast itself was delicious! My lamb shank came straight off the bone, the roasties were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the mash was super creamy 😍Would definitely recommend a visit here for Sunday roast!! But get here early if you want to nab a parking spot.
