Booked (in may)the pub for the reception of my daughters christening in August, was asked to view the venue and confirm booking and pay deposit as soon as possible, which was done. They were chasing me for final numbers and food options last week, to be told today out of the blue at very short notice (a month) that they will be closing the pub for refurbishment. They have offered alternative dates which is no good as this is for a christening where the church has been booked and organised and the invites to guests have gone out, and I've received final rsvps. Not to mention this is a bank holiday weekend so finding a new venue will be extremely difficult, and expect the venue will lose a huge amount of business.(Starting to wonder if they are trying to run the pub out of business so they can turn it into flats or a tesco's)

Can't argue with the £6 lunch menu. Decent food at very good value. Nice little beer garden

What an amazing cozy pub with tasty food and super friendly staff. I don't even live in area but I would definitely come back for another lunch. Also my friend recommend dj nights saying its really good so next time I'm in Barnet I'm definitely coming here. Manager and assistant manager are very nice and helpful and you can see they really take care about their staff. I love going to places like that

Went in for a Sunday roast with the family and everything was amazing! The food arrived quickly and the staff were all very nice and friendly. Definitely will be back!

Enjoyed a good drink here. Have eaten in this pub before but not on this occasion. Nice vibes and the garden is decent. Will happily come back again. We definitely want to do the quiz!

Always been a nice traditional pub and great that they are dog friendly! Do a good range of proper cask beer and ale including doom bar and London Pride. Not many pubs do a big range any more. Good staff; lovely girls. Always did very good food but not actually eaten in there for a good 10 years now.

Absolutely amazing food one of the best roasts I've ever had also the cheese board was out of this world the staff were amazing even though they seemed short staffed today

We have been recently for a Sunday roast which was lovely and great value for money. We also attended a funeral wake yesterday; the buffet that they put on, the area they provided and the service were all fantastic. Thank you

Pleasant little pub located in East Barnet, which serves lovely food, dessert and drinks.Having been to this pub on many occasions, I've never been left disappointed. Music in the background whilst enjoying a drink is nice. The customer service is also a pleasent one.5* Would recommend 👍🏼UPDATED 21/01/22: left my full drink on the table went for a cigarette and came back to find drink had been removed and poured down drain, with bar lady asking me what do you want me to do very rudely.. this is plain rude and unacceptable, management need to deal with this behaviour.Rating reduced to 2* 👎🏼

Surprisingly good food for a local pub, albeit if you go with a lady friend the likelihood is she will be the only lady there as it’s defo a builders/labourers pub. Staff were friendly albeit one was brand new and still in training.
