Beautiful hot meals and a open fire place. We were given top notch service as my seating has to be good due to lower back issue. The atmosphere is Great! ... Our table was changed to suit our requirements. The food was hot and very good. Interesting menu. Good to reserve a table or you could be left standing as this eating venue is very popular. All clean facilities and government guidelines are still in place despite what has been done stay sanitised and wash with soap and water every chance given. All the local were in and new guests.

This is a nice English styled pup. Great food with a decent beer selection. As an American from the west coast I find nearly all English pubs poor when it comes to beer BUT Spaniards had a great selection which included a close approximation of a west coast IPA in their Thronbridge, Jairpur IPA offering. The wine drinkers in our group had many great options to select from and everyone enjoyed their food. This place is great and will visit again for sure.

We had a really lovely Sunday meal with the family at Spaniards inn today. When we arrived we were seated upstairs and the only reason I booked is because of the lovely fireplaces which turns out were downstairs. I guess you have to make a special request for this so have definitely learnt this lesson for the future. I did book more than a month in advance too. When we arrived there were no other guests and there was no heating on. When we asked the waiter about this his attitude was a little rude and was reluctant to turn the heating on which was very inhospitable. The service was a little slow at times given that they were fully booked. However the food was lovely and we had a great time. Great flavours and great portion sizes. There was a great family vibe and there’s parking on the premises which was great.I’d recommend some Christmas music around this time of year to bring in a greater atmosphere. We had lots of different dishes as a family- see pics. We loved the charm of the building. We’ll definitely be back!

5 stars: Lovely historic pub with cute rooms to grab a drink in.3.5 stars: Food was pretty average - so I'd skip that. Had a bottle of champers, red wine, camembert starter, 4 mains (2 burgers, 1 chicken pie, 1 steak), 2 sticky toffee puddings & the bill was ~£266. Nothing particularly special, and the garlic in the camembert was raw (so that beautiful stench stayed through the next day!).

I had the opportunity to visit this historic restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it. For an appetizer, the Scotch eggs were fantastic and a must try if you haven't had them before. The roast beef with potatoes and two very large popovers plus a vegetable was good and a perfect size to share with three hungry people. For dessert, the bread pudding with also good. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The beer and wine selection was good and varied. There is also outdoor seating which is nice. The structure itself is such a treasure being so old and was a great experience being in there. The decor is very inviting. My complaints are that the beef could have been served hotter and had a bit more seasoning. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable (too hard) and having a bad back, this is not good. Even the others in my party had the same complaint.Other than the slight concerns, the next time I am in London, I would go back.

The best meal we have had in London in perhaps the past 6 months. Perfect end to our walk through Hampstead Heath. We had the fish and chips and the half chicken roast. Very tasty Sunday Roast. Definitely a must if you are in London!
