The Wild Goose Bakery in Barnet

Yesterday I came in at the Leytonstone branch and asked for a extra hot drink but was still given a warm one. Have been reading other reviews and noticed the owner replying to customers making excuses for there poor staff service instead should be forcing on improving there staff customer service skills. Been to the forest gate branch lovely friendly staff big smiles and ask for a extra hot drink and given one.

No doubt is the best coffee in Leytonstone, good sourdough bread! Just the space is quite small and at weekends you need to queue to get a coffee! Even having the best coffee in the area, I found it quite priced too! But overall its good, with very friendly staff!

I managed to get a beautiful seed sourdough loaf after dropping off my daughter to school, it was gorgeous! My husband and I had it for breakfast and the taste was sublime! We will definitely be coming back to try more loaves of delicious bread!

I am giving 3 stars - 5 stars for the delicious chocolate knot I wolfed down but 1 star for the disorganised service. Hard to believe but I was asked 3 further times by staff whether I had paid after I already ordered and paid. Everyone seemed eager to collect payment but no one was fulfilling the orders. The chocolate knot I wanted just sat there on the display looking at me. Finally I told the last staff who asked me for payment to go get it! I am not upset, it's just a real shame that the service is letting the bakery down.

Decided to visit both locations and left disappointed both times. Found the bakery products quite overpriced and not as fresh as I expected. If you're vegan or choose gluten free options, be careful as they tend to use the same tong for everything.

Amazing coffee. I feel like the customer service could be better but they are a social enterprise that helps people in the local area who are affected by poverty which is amazing. Delicious and expansive array of pastries and sandwiches!

Amazing donuts! I come here with my dog all the time and have always received warm and friendly service.I don't agree with reviewers who moan about the cost of things. You are buying freshly baked goods, made with quality ingredients, while supporting an independent, local business who has been badly affected by the pandemic.If you're worried about spending a few extra pennies on a croissant, I suggest sticking to Greggs or Sainsburys.

The service is really good, the do some good South African style desserts and rolls. My favourite so far was the bori roll and cheese and herb scone. That’s my regular for a quick Sunday lunch snack. Totally with the visit..

Lovely coffee, excellent bread, friendly staff and the type of trendy vibe we need more of in Leytonstone! Also really love the lamb pies that come out every now and again. I sometimes find the cakes are drier than they look but the pastel de natas are lovely.

Good coffee and good local produce...HOWEVER, I've been in three times 10 minutes before closing and the coffee machine has already been switched off. Come on guys, if you're open till 4pm, let me buy a coffee till you close the doors. Would love to go there more often and support local cafes but find 4pm (or 3.50pm some days) on the early side. And they're closed on Mondays. A review of opening hours might be a good idea.
