Golden Lion in Bexley

Must say, I don't often leave reviews unless it's been a spectacular experience or a spectacularly bad experience. This was the former. Clearly a very well run pub. Gordon Ramsey is not the resident chef..that is clear. But Tom Kerridge would probably struggle to get a regular job...food is excellent....and not too wankey.Beer is well kept...wine list limited...but decent.A very warm welcome from a very friendly bald northern manager.If I lived locally this would be my local. Literally.

I went in to watch the footie and while my team got ruined, the pub and staff were great. Great beer, friendly staff, grub is top notch. Steve, the manager, looked after us well despite cheering for the other team!

I had a a tremendous time at the Golden Lion and even more so that the ever so fabulous Molly served us with her funny, friendly and professional attitude - my friends and I received top class service. She is a total asset to the pub and part of the reason I visit regularly. What a breathe of fresh air she is, all in all a 5/5 star experience, thank you Molly!

Great place to watch football - popped in to watch the England game. Good beer, good food and the manager Steve is a great lad. Worth a visit if in the area.

Went a couple of months ago with some friends, great service in particular from Molly. Great atmosphere and staff are very welcoming.

My wife and I visited last night, and we must say the service was amazing, especially from the young girl who I think was called Morgan? She was absolutely exceptional and made our experience! Go Golden Lion!

Popped into this pub after work in search of a cold pint and a beer garden with colleagues from work with the aim of planning a future event. Warm genuine welcome from Katie behind the bar who expertly helped select cocktails and informed us of special offers. Garden was nice, great place to relax and unwind in the sun and huge outside tv which would be great for sports. Throughly recommend products and staff are excellent!

Went on a Friday night with some friends, the service was excellent, friendly, and welcoming, especially from Morgan. Great music and you would 100% find me going there again

Very pleasant pub, bright and airy. Food was good and we didn’t have to wait long for it. Barmaid Katie was very friendly and chatty. Dogs welcome and given a bowl of water without us asking. Would definitely visit again when visiting our son 👍🏼👍🏼

Polite and welcoming staff, clean tables and bar. Menu had good selection with lots of vegan options and almost all available. Good selection of drinks. Tribute tasted well kept. Place was nearly empty cos of Covid cancellations. Felt safe and were able to distance. Come on folks if we want these pubs to survive please use them, with precautions.
