Hall Place Riverside Cafe in Bexley

Hall place is great for the whole family. Whether you want to go out on your bike, walk the dog, go for a jog or visit the gardens and house. Perfect all round must.

Second time visit, caught a nice food market at excellent weather, blossoming trees and flowers. Great place for a weekend walk.

Had a nice day. Visited the paid butterfly park which was nice but is very small. Saw new miniature railway tracks being made and laid by a railway club. Once ready, They plan to run steam trains on it for passengers. Look forward to that, hope their prices will be reasonable. There are free toilet facilities and a restaurant ans a large free car park. They are geese under the bridge near where the gallery and toilets are. There is also a covered viewing area from where we were able to watch hoti 3 small kingfishers darting to and fro across the stream perhaps looking for a nesting area. There is a extensive park if you like to walk .

A perfect place to come for a walk or a picnic, with scenic views and plenty of open space. There is a cafe that serves good, fresh food, and has good outdoor views. There's plenty of free parking available as well.There are a number of other areas of interest in the vicinity as well, so will come again to explore them in future!

As a birthday treat I was taken to visit the owls at Hall Place. On arrival we were greeted by Matthew who made us extremely welcome. We were taken on a visit through the owl homes, then taken into a holding area for 5/6 beautiful owls. We were talked through the handling and given such interesting information on each and everyone. Matthew was a superb host and very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Every question we asked he answered in detail and elaborated on. We had many turns of holding the owls and he catered for all of us a family of 5 old and young.. He was so dedicated and obviously had a great love and passion for the owls and their welfare. We highly recommend Matthew as a guide and what a super visit to Jamowls. A real family experience and certainly worth a visit to see these most beautiful, fascinating creatures.

Easy parking. The gardens were obviously not at their best due to time of year. I assume more blooms in the spring summer. Butterfly experience ok but think overpriced for the size of room. Takes 2 minutes to walk round. Farmers marker was an added extra. Nice produce.

Lovely gardens and unusual topiary with nice owls you can hold and learn about from friendly staff, and butterflies too. Bigger area than I expected lots of room for picnics round about. Nice cafe and gift shop too. Didn't get to go in house but good from outside

Enjoyed the gardens, free of charge too. Shame the house wasn't open. Went in to see the butterflies, and the owls was lovely. Nice garden centre and café.

What a great day out! The children had a whale of a time picnicking in the grounds, playing hide and seek around the queen's beasts and reading all the tree plaques. The butterfly house was so interesting, caterpillars hanging on leaves, butterflies fluttering all around us and rows of chrysalis hanfing in a glass cabinet. The children found it fascinating that a brand new butterfly had recently emerged 😍 The Jambs Owls was amazing! We all got to hold an owl and the gentleman that helped us was friendly and knowledgeable. We will 1000% come again and recommend it to everyone 👍
