Il Vesuvio Restaurant in Bexley

This is not your family friendly Italian restaurant.We were a group of nine adults and 5 children and we went there on a Tuesday night. We did ask our children to be quiet and not run around. Which they by and large kept to. As with younger children they did forget and needed reminding. At no stage were they overly noisy and we mistakenly thought this is a Italian Bambino friendly place. I think the manager over reacted with the alleged noise. They also have no childrens menu which should have been a giveaway.As for the food it was fine and the portions generous.We paid the service charge as our waitress was friendly and efficient.I am very reluctant to return as there are plenty other places that are more welcoming.If you go with young children beware.

What a lovely restaurant they cant do enough for you I had a surprise 30th birthday meal here yesterday for 12 people the food was absolutely Delicious the best Italian food I’ve had in A long time. the alcoholic drinks were lovely. The service was great friendly and very quick. And was not overpriced overall a lovely experience we will definitely be back.only thing I would say is they need more signage because the restaurant is in a corner maybe a sign on the main road as it’s such a shame I didn’t know about this restaurant sooner.

It was a pleasant surprise that the restaurant had lived up to expectation when we had a big lunch there this afternoon. The food was tasty and big portioned. The staff was friendly and attentive. Price reasonable. I love the decor too. Needless to say we will be there again soon!

Lovely run Italian. Always great fresh food. Great service with happy staff that have time to talk to you and always happy. Relaxing to eat in, taste just as good as a takeaway and reasonably priced

Friendly staff but each staff member seemed to have just a few too many tables in their section as it was hard to flag down our server but other staff were happy to take our orders.I ordered the ribeye steal. It was okay but nothing amazing and certainly not worth £21.95. I asked for medium and there was zero pinkness. Aside from that the drinks were great as was the Tiramisu.

I went to have lunch and a catch up with a few friends today and went to Bexleyheath for the first time!We had lunch at this really nice Italian restaurant and the menu selection was really good.The food that I ordered was excellent, I would even go as much to say it was the nicest pasta dish that I’ve had for a long time!Delicious food.Friendly staff.Excellent wine list.Highly recommended

What a gem of restaurant we found, not too far from home. Fantastic meal!!! Calzone was delicious, my daughter loved her pasta and the fried whitebait and calamari were amazing! And the desserts were simply fantastic. Definitely recommend and will go back asap with all my Italian friends!

We had a brillaint relaxed meal with excellent service. The service was attentive and really friendly. They were a so welcoming. Really recommend and we will definitely be going back for food and wonderful cocktails. Thank you
