Maharajah in Bexley

Very very slow service. Mediocre food. To expensive for the amount and quality of food

Placed an order on Deliveroo at 23:17pm (it shows it closes as 23:59pm). I called to make an adjustment to the order and the guy confirmed it’s all okay. To then receiving and email to say the order has been cancelled. when I called back the guy just kept saying “we close at 10,30pm” even when I was trying to explain I had just called 5minutes before and nothing was mentioned to me. Poor customer service and won’t be attempting to order from here again.

Mediocre at best. Used to be great but not now, there are much better restaurants around than this.

We ordered chilli paneer only to find 5 cubes of paneer and just tossed in ketchup and little soy sauce … with loads of onions and green pepper

Food seriously below average. This used to be a great restaurant, but the spinach side dish tasted off. Luckily I didn't finish it. Chicken tiika masalsa came out looking bright red and very very sweet.Food definitely not the normal standard, so in future I probably won't go there again!Such a shame!

On Saturday 11th September 2021 5 of us visited this place for dinner and I have to say I am glad we did. From start to finish the food and service was excellent and our waiter Pervez couldn't do enough for us, he had a brilliant attitude towards customers and that is what you want when you go out. I would definitely recommend this place 👍

Always delicious, always friendly, clean and well presented. I've been visiting for over 20 years and always satisfied.

Dined here a couple of times and enjoyed immensely it is just a shame they are adhering to these draconian rules to keep them shut and possibly put this great establishment out of business.I am imploring you and every other local business to rally together and fight this tyranny.These local businesses need all the support they can get guys so please chip in.All the best

Fabulous meal; best we've had for a while. New chef started tonight - but not just for Valentine's Day; he is going to be the main chef from now on. Would recommend that if you've been to the Maharajah in the past and not had an excellent meal to try it again. Excellent food.

Finally 3 of us (Kev, Lee and myself) returned to the Maharajah after easily 10 years (more likely 15 years) since we last came !!! The Maharajah was our regular food spot after drinking in Bexley village before we all moved away or changed jobs, had many a good night there so last night was the test to see if it had changed and lived up to its past great memories....Firstly the restaurant now is bigger, they have added an extra bit on the back so its now actually HUGE compared to before. Our favourite Chichen Chat starter I think we all agreed was not the same as we remember, it lacked the kick it had in the past with its new design, however that was easily made up for with the main course. We ordered everything we could remember so the Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Madras, Lamb Gosht Silsila, Tandoori Mix, Onion bahjees, Keema naan, Bullet (chilli) naan, various rice, popadoms and the usual and it was fantastic. all washed down with Cobra beer. A feast for the 3 of us but we successfully managed to eat pretty much all of it.As always the staff were amazing (i maybe even recognised some of them from when we used to visit 10-15 years ago).Anyway Happy Christmas to all at the Maharajah, it was great to visit again after such a long time!
