Absolutely terrible food. This place should be shut down. Brought me raw meat. And try to tell me it was my taste buds.Tried to tell me im the only person to complain. Out of a hundred people. Which I find hard to believe. I would not give this food to foxes that eat of my bin.

Can’t tell that the Meat and Generic “Curry” has been cooked separately and just served together in a box. No flavour whatsoever. The onion bhaji was extremely oily and tasted less . First and last time we’re ordering from here!

we ordered from this place all the time but a couple of months ago the Bombay potatoes began to be very hard (not boiled enough). we also on around 4 occasions ordered a nan with our meal which didn't turn up and on calling Root of Spice they would say next time we will give you one free. this never happened! when I would mention this the next time they would say sorry no note on the system.tonight we ordered are usual, I ordered madras sauce which didn't turn instead a masala sauce turned up. I called root of spice to explain I do not like this sauce. they said they could bring me the correct sauce in 20 minutes. of course I asked what about my rice, starter and Bombay potatoes oh yeah and not forgetting nan bread all getting freezing whilst waiting. I offered the guy 2 options a whole fresh order or my money back, he told me as they were busy I would get a new order but I will have to wait at least 20 mins 1 hour and 2 mins later my food arrived 20.52.will never ever ever use this place again. food gone way down hill and orders wrong. prices different online than when you call to order!

Our order was 90 minutes late resulting in us having to go to the restaurant to pick up the food which was cold and mostly inedible. We ordered through just eat and the restaurant said that our order had been delivered after an hour of us waiting which it clearly hadn’t been. When we went back to get a refund we were given several excuses such as “you can’t get a refund if you’ve collected the food” (so what about if you got home and and there was an issue with the food or it had something unsavoury in it!) before the gentleman in charge said that he wouldn’t give us a refund because we ordered through just eat. He had the audacity to tell us we should’ve cancelled the order if it was taking too long - we called the restaurant over 40 times and could not get through plus the restaurant inaccurately said the order had been delivered meaning the cancel order part within the app obviously isn’t available. Terrible customer service. No apology or attempt to appease the situation.

We ordered from them once before months ago, I asked for no onions in my curry but it was delivered full of onions. I rang them and they brought me a replacement an hour later once everyone else was finished eating. Decided to give them a second chance on Saturday. Again I specified no onions anywhere (we were planning to share everything) as they make me ill and even rang to make sure they got the message. Not only they showed up 45 minutes late with a slightly different order (we ordered 2 spicy and one plain poppadom, we got five plain poppadoms instead) but every single dish was literally full of onions! I decided not to ring them again to get a replacement as we would have had to wait for another hour again. Honestly I don't understand why they take orders if they can't then deliver the requested specifications. Now I'm definitely not ordering from them ever again, and if you have food allergies/intolerances I would steer well clear. Finally, although I had to go hungry, my husband did eat the food and said it wasn't very flavoursome either.

Although the food was ok it was very over priced. I thought the portions would be bigger. After spending £20 on just 3 mains without any rice it came with only one poppadom and 2 small nasty looking hot sandwich bags of salad that I wouldn't even feed to my dog. The relatively good flavor is not enough to make want to order from them again. Extremely dissapointed.
