Stumbled upon this place whilst looking for some halwa puri on a Sunday and we weren't disappointed. In addition to halwa puri, we ordered lamb kebab, samosa, chicken biriyani, chana, keema curry and freshly made paratha. Everything was delicious and not too heavy or spicy. The staff were also welcoming and despite the slightly rustic look, the place was clean. The price was unbelievably cheap compared to other similar places nearby.The only thing that can be improved is the toilet.

Very good place to eat in. Food is delicious. Taste is amazing. I've been eating from there for the past 20 years or maybe even more. The owner and stuff are great people too very friendly. I recommend it you should all try it out

Food is so delicious and very reasonably priced. I been going to this restaurant over 20 years now. They don't emphasise on decor but their food quality is always spot on! They have a limited menu but always delicious. Saag meat is my fave. Well done Shalamar! Keep up the good work.

Food is excellent, very cheap, Cheaper than all the nearby restaurants nearby, highly recommended, only dropped by 1 star as the toilet facility is horrible and needs to be sorted out ASAP.

Have been a patron of this fine establishment for over 30 years and I don't live locally such is the quality, standard and taste of the cuisine! If you want authentic Indian food without the fuss - than this is the place for you! You won't be disappointed!!

Decent curries for fraction of a price. I only paid £6 for chicken curry and 2 naans. What a bargain!

Shalamar kebab house is a gem in east London.If you want modest yet quality food that is not overpriced come here.Very good quality food value in my honest opinion.It has all the classic Bangladeshi/south Asian dishes. The breads are great

This place is amazing! If you want back to basics good food at the best price in London then get here. This isn't a romantic place, more of a cafe type decor, but the food is great and the price is even better! Meal of for two, 2 kebabs each and a diet Pepsi £5!
