Came here as it was en route to my destination, the reviews looked very promising; well let’s say that The Chunky Teapot did not disappoint. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile by Maisy who gave me a menu & advised me to come up to the counter when I was ready order. Now for the food, order what I usually would; Eggs Royale. Came really quickly & well presented. This is without a doubt the best Eggs Royale I’ve ever had. Poached to perfection, with a great half moon shape and tasty enough for a king.#ShoutOut2TheChefReasonably priced food/drinks, clean, unique styling, very welcoming & friendly staff.Highly Recommended!

It was OK, but not great. Hot chocolate was more like warm very weak chocolate milk, cake was nice but mild in flavour(lemon cake & red velvet). Menu says loose leaf tea which costs extra, paid for it then lady brought teapot with tea bag to table and said they don't do loose leaf, but was happy to charge for it and was surprised it was on menu. No real apology either.

Wonderful! A lovely place in Sidcup for brunch and cakes with a homely decor. Highly recommend trying the Oreo cake - it was delicious!

A big thank you to the lovely staff of The Chunky Teapot. We celebrated my Mum’s 79th birthday here recently. Nothing was a problem for them. We booked and ordered our food in advance. My Mum’s wheelchair was accommodated without fuss. We all enjoyed our food and drinks. We were looked after perfectly. It was a very special birthday and one we will remember happily for a very long time.I would wholeheartedly recommend this place every single time. Thank you. 💕

Ordered a sandwich but asked for no ham hock, chef just scraped it out of one already made n didn’t manage to get it all out… I didn’t realise until a few bites in… Not coolYoung waitress with dark hair was very apologetic and seemed to appreciate the magnitude of the mistake but older red head lady from the back seemed to not care at all.Place looks great but small portions, bad service and worse coffee.

I have never been to the establishment - but was quite scandalised by the take-away version of Chunky Teapot's Afternoon Tea, which cost ÂŁ22 and consisted of a meagre and, worst of all, *thoroughly* unappetising collection of bread products with a value of perhaps ÂŁ5. Three people, aged 3 to 45, reluctantly tried it - I got a bland mini ham sandwich - then it all went into the bin. Presumably, the non-takeaway version consists of the same items. You expect a restaurant, and you get a petrol station.

I came here on Monday with my Sister, cousin and my Mum who is in a wheelchair. The staff could not have been more helpful. Our teas, coffees, smoothie, cake and toast were delicious. My Mum was a bit cold so my Sister and I took our coats off to put on her. We were then cold but we didn't mind. Almost straight away one of the staff bought out a blanket for my Mum - how thoughtful! We really enjoyed our precious time with our lovely Mum and we couldn't have picked a better place to spend our morning. Thank you The Chunky Teapot. xXx

We booked our Christmas afternoon tea for my wife's birthday to takeaway, even though the shop we closed they were still doing deliverys and take aways. The lovely people had it all waiting for me to collect when I turned up. It was all very well presented and well made couldn't fault it. It was very nice and well priced. Would love to come back and sit inside one day.
