My son in law was born in welling and still lives there with my daughter and their son my gorgeous grandson Ellis . Went to visit and Lee suggested pie and mash. He ordered 2 and 1 for us both . I manned up and ate the lot with a lot of help from Sarah . Minced lamb pie was lovely, mash was smooth and well seasoned, not sure about the liquor , would have preferred gravy but didn't want to rock the boat . It's a way of life and yes we could all eat it again

Very authentic pie, mash and liquer and stewed eels at reasonable prices. Brings back memories of and up there with; Arments (Walworth), Manze's (Bermondsey) and Cooke's (Hoxton).

Nice good hearty food, unfortunately you can't depend on them to be open when they are meant to be.

Stopped here as a last minute decision for a quick lunch on our way home, after me and my kids have been out all morning and I couldn’t face cooking in a hurry, we only live around the corner.Really nice pies, the filling reminded me of my grandma’s mince! Mash was good and the liquor was abundant and lovely. Chips were unexpectedly good too.I wish I’d tried them sooner!!

The pie and mash is ok, the pies just lack the meat content compared to others. The chilli vinegar is way-way too hot.... AVOID!!! The ambience is a bit too noisy and you get to her quite loudly in the background about the owner's/employee's life and the local gossip of Welling whilst you're trying to eat. But thankfully on the plus side there was no ice cream scoop mash!

Grew up in South London on Pie and Mash but been a Veggie for more than 25 years. This is the one sort of meal I really miss but these guys do justice to the traditional London classic but for non meat eaters. Much as I remember it from when I was a kid. Liquor too. Lovely gang running the place as well. My type of people. Will be in regular. Lovely grub!

I love trying new foods and since this was my first time trying pie and mash, I was extremely excited. When I first saw them, they reminded me of pot pies back home in the States; they actually don't have vegetables in them (which is a plus as I'm not so fond of them in my pot pie). I had the pie and mash with the [green] liquor and chili vinegar. Everything tasted amazing. I really enjoyed my dining experience here.

Brilliant pie! I went to Welling for a day out, and dropped in here for lunch last weekend. We ate the pie with beef mince plus gravy. Really good quality meat, and lovely warm buttery pie crust. Perfect for winter. Owners also talked to us about how they make the pies on-sight, which is really good to know, as I am always on the lookout for rustic food. Would come back here again, cheers!
