Duniya Restaurant in Brent

The way the manager of this restaurant treated me today I think was absolutely appalling, maybe because I’m not from their culture so she didn’t feel the need to treat me with any regard.they have great food! I can’t take that away from them, and thats one of the few places that I can actually eat halal food being a Muslim.But their customer service I think is horrendous maybe because it’s being run by young people who don’t feel the need to have any customer care at all.just last week I was having a conversation with another Somali customer at the restaurant who came to buy a few things to have for iftar, as well, and we was taking about their card reader, because the screen was smashed and you could hardly see what you’re being charged and knowing what Izettle card machine looks like after using it for my own business for many years, I decided to speak to the manager to offer them a better payment option with the company that I work with (Dojo.tech) which is a faster more reliable and cheaper alternative than what they currently have.I thought I was doing something positive.I went downstairs spoke to the manager (young lady) and she said yeah sure, I can come back on the 7th of April (3 days later) and we’ll discuss about that, came back on the day she told me to, and the manager turned around and told the receptionist to tell me to leave!I was surprised at this point, because she told me to come see her, gave me a date that I believed was the best for her, I put it in my diary, showed up as I was told to with my laptop whist fasting and thinking I was going to get food at the end of our meeting, but instead I was told to leave and my entire day ruined, that I should’ve spent doing something productive with my time!Even though I love their food, I think this will be the last time I’m coming again, after a year of living in the area and eating from there and knowing they recognised my me and still decided to treat me like that, I think is unacceptable, I’ll spend my money elsewhere where I’d get halal and be treated with a little care too..

Lovely venue with beautiful decor. Small compared to other places I've been. Not the best of locations but you forget you are in Harlsden when you walk in. Food was so lovely.

Authentic Somali food. The rice and Lamb shank is the one I had and is highly recommended.
