May's Chinese Cuisine in Brent

Only rating 1 star because there was not an option to rate 0 stars. Ordered on deliveroo with a 30-40min estimated time, it has now been 2 hours 20minutes and our food still has not arrived. When we call they keep saying it is on its way and will be with you in 20minutes, which is clearly a lie. They should be honest that they cannot fulfill the order that we can order food from elsewhere and not be left hanging. Absolutely shocking service

Only putting one star as you can’t choose zero stars, ordered my dinner with a one hour waiting time (I understand as it’s Saturday night so no problem) once the order is 20 mins past the latest delivery time I call, and I get told “20 mins or cancel your choice” after telling them to deliver as I’m hungry another 30 mins pass and when I call back I get told food isn’t coming and they will refund my card on Monday.

Ordered through #justeat where this restaurant had 4.8 out of 5 rating.I’m shocked to read the rating and reviews on here as my food also took an hour to deliver and then left me and my family being sick after eating the food.Do NOT order food from this establishment!And #justeat you should be ashamed of yourselves

Spent £100 in the end of November, they've kept not giving us free dishes (offers that come with the meal) included on the menu.December 11th 2020 update: spent £49 forgot to give us free stuff again, every one that ate the Chinese takeaway felt sick.I felt like to vomit, I will never eat from may's again.

I seriously don't recommend, they microwave their food and their food storage is not that sanitary. The food is not at all tasty or even nice. Last time I ordered here I felt really sick after and they can't even take in simple requests such as asking the food to not be spicy, yet they still make it spicy. If anything I actually recommend the takeaway across the road. I've been eating here for a long time since I was little but I have to say I haven't been here in a long time nor am I ever coming to eat here again.

Awful experience. Ordered spareribs rice and sauce. A family member and I ended up with stomach cramps and diarrhoea all through the night. It’s absolutely disgusting that they use old out of date food. I contacted the company to inform them of the situation and they refused to give me a refund because I had eaten some of the food. How on earth was I supposed to know the food was going to give me food poisoning before I ate it?! I have contacted HFA. I hope they will investigate this further so other people don’t have the same experience. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

The food took almost two hours despite despite living a five minute walk from the restaurant. When it turned up everything that we tried was inedible. The satay sauce tasted like hand moisturizer, the sauce for the ribs tasted like sun cream and the prawn crackers tasted like the inside of an old cupboard. The crispy beef had the texture of little deep fried pieces of bark and the soup just tasted like some sort of cleaning supply. Not good. We called to complain and we were shouted at down the phone and told that we were wrong. The idea of a refund was not only not entertained but was considered completely crazy by the restaurant Don't waste your time buying something from here. Just go to Spicy Basil. You won't get this disappointed and you'll probably end up spending less.

I ordered food from here tonight. It took an hour and ten minutes to arrive and when it finally did the prawn toast was soggy and the crispy beef was cold. The only edible part of the meal was the prawn crackers. I absolutely don't recommend you try this.
