Small & Beautiful in Brent

Having arrived on a solo expedition out prior to the streets heating up on a friday. I was shunned to a small table away in the corner at the door where if theres a smoker outside youll benefit their habbit drafting through the door. Left to my own devices for 15 mins my patience broke and ordered a classic carbonara. It arrived without the bs of a overly shallow presentstion, instead relying on its own merit. Sauce and seasoning were better than most, the pasta cooked to perfection... Where it has fallen down though is in the use of good ole fasioned cut fatty back bacon rashers in place of pancetta. So eat responsibly and eat around the fat, it'll take some time cutting it off too, but ask for a spoon; it's easier to fork wrap that way. Almost 20 minutes after finishing packed up my phone, donned the jacket and went in search of the bill. Smells from the kitchen and tables near by still had me salivating. Id still have to find faith in ingredients choice to be honest. If you're not a regular fan of eating out Italian, you won't be disappointed or know the difference. All in all, tasty but lacking.

I was in this place yesterday it is lovely restaurant. I had sizzling chicken sach and it was fabulously presented and it was delicious. My partner had a Fillet steak and it was cooked till perfection. Portions are huge and the prices are super low for London. I loved it definitely coming back.

It's amazing home food, served amazingly. If you are a basic insta person, and require your food to look good so that all your followers know how well you eat, go elsewhere. But if you like tasty, reasonably priced food with no automatic 12.5% service charge BS, eat here and be happy.

Really bad experience at this restaurant today.My dad. Who is very much a regular, hoped to enjoy a birthday lunch there today, at 3pm- the restaurant was empty bar one table of 2 (sat on a table for 4 people- my mentioning of this will become relevant in a moment). When my dad and his partner sat down at one off the several empty tables available, the waitress (unsure of how senior a role she holds within the company) came over and gave out that they had chosen a table for 6 people, he then went on to explain that his daughter (me), grandson and two family friends would be joining in the next couple of minutes- only to be told they’d better be because she will not serve two people on a table meant for 6 because it means she will have to clean more.Whilst I understand the need to maximise your space and the practicality of seating people for the correct size tables- I do work in hospitality, and lunch service was well and truly coming to an end and dinner service was a few hours away- in all fairness, they may have had a big event or booking, which would have been understandable- but that didn’t seem to be the case.I was hesitant to come to this “restaurant” for a number of reasons- such as low hygiene standards, rude staff, very unclean toilets, the decor is unsightly and I once found a clump of hair in my risotto- but it was a special celebration for my dad and his choice of restaurant... I draw the line at being blatantly rude to a returning customer all because you can’t be bothered cleaning a table - the majority of tables in this restaurant are for 6 people.For a venue that never has any customers bar match days, I think you need to be more accommodating and realise it’s these little regulars that actually keep you guys ticking along.Terrible behaviour and we will not be returning.

Amazing. Just like the name. Truly beautiful. Very attentive, polite staff that went above and beyond. It was our anniversary and we could not have picked a better place. Also the food is exquisite. Thank you for making our date truly memorable.

I have been going to Small and Beautiful for years, it is a charming little gem of a find - rare to find in chaotic London!The atnosphere is peaceful and laid back and the staff always friendly and happy to help, and the menu really offers something for everyone. We've popped in for lunch, ordered Greek salad and potato skins for starter and pizza and stake for main from the set lunch menu. The salad was super fresh and crunchy with lovely dressing, and potatoes skins were very tasty but could be more crunchy. Still really nice. Spicy pizza was spicy and on a thin crust, huge size. Stake was nice and cooked as requested- rare. Overall very pleasant and affordable food, and huge portions.

Used to go to the restaurant often for about 6 years but recently they have hired a really unpleasant waitress who was not welcoming to us and wouldn't allow us to sit where we wanted. She pretends she couldn't understand English when it suited her and we found it an insult to our intelligence. The last time we attempted to go there was on valentines night 2017, after receiving her unfriendly welcome again we decided to leave and go to another restaurant. Our custom doesn't seem appreciated any more - its amazing how an unpleasant staff member can bring a place down.....

Absolutely lovely, not sure why other reviewers don't like the lack of one identity menu wise. It's definitely a bonus for us, I will have a go at most things, my wife is quite conservative in her tastes and our toddler sits somewhere in the middle.We all ordered to suit our personal taste and we were all presented with beautifully prepared and presented meals.Sensibly priced with welcoming and attentive staff I would highly recommend this family friendly establishment.

Ordered a beef sizler, took over 1 hour to be served after ordering and then was served with 2 small pieces of meet and the rest was onions and Peppers. On a positive note the meet tasted nice but not worth 15 pounds!! Unfortunately left the restaurant hungry.Definitely would not eat here again.
