Food took 45 mins to come but was stone cold (as in fresh from the fridge). Turns out that the chefs (all 4 of them) forgot to cook it. And this was with around 8 customers who were mostly having cocktails rather than eating. What a joke! Just walked out without paying - I doubt anyone even noticed we'd gone...

The staff were friendly, that was the only good thing about this place, we did not enjoy our experience here other than that. We ordered the sugar dumplings, jerk chicken, and creole fried jerk chicken. It took 40 minutes for our food to come when the restaurant wasn't even busy. When it finally did come we were disappointed as the chicken was hard and dry, obviously overcooked and tasted like overcooked Nandos. The sugar dumplings were not bad but needed some sauce or something to go with it, as they were also a bit dry. All the tables inside except 2 were bar style high tables, which is not suitable for having a meal on as you are continually bending and leaning forward. The music was also way too loud for a Saturday afternoon, maybe it will be good atmosphere in the evening while having a few drinks, but not for a late lunch.

I really wanted to give this place a good review as the waitress was lovely and friendly.... well one of them was! The rest were not as accommodating at all. The last time I went my chicken was dry and overcooked but I thought I would give it a second chance. This time our table arrived at 7 with children and adults. Two hours went by and we did not receive most of our food. A table that came after us got their food after around an hour while we still waited. When we approached the waitress, one was aggitated with us while the other was very nice and apologetic. The waitress said the chef was in a bad mood so they couldn't tell us when our food was arriving. After 2 hours and 15 minutes we left.

I can not fault the customer service our first waiter was very kind and attentitive...BUT. after ordering the waiter told us they had no shrimp. 'Fair enough'. Then a second waitress came back to tell us they had no RICE. (Not too pleased but its okay I will pick something else). Then she came back for a 3rd time to tell us they had no fried chicken because its event day. It was at that staged that we paid for drinks and left. For a caribbean establishment to not have the basics of a menu just adds them to the stereotype. I will try to eat here again as the food did look good and cocktails were amazing. But for my first time I cant say i was too impressed.

The service was not good, but they were training new people, so that’s positive. The food is excellent, me and my wife enjoyed the fish and jerk chicken, and had a goat curry to take away which was excellent. Much better quality food than turtle bay. Keep up the good work and please improve the customer service please. ie, you must give customers 5 - 7 mins to select a drink and 10mins to select food. Always check to see if there ok, food should not take more than 20mins for starters etc

The cocktails were good esp as 2 for 1 and atmosphere somewhat Caribbean though the music could be a touch louder to enhance the vibe that was being created. One could barely hear it over normal restaurant noises and thel fact it was not busy. This being said I also could have requested the increase in volume but did not. The menu is basic but the food was dreadfully disappointing despite the small choice. That said the majority of staff were friendly and helpful. BUT please note on AN EVENT DAY....we returned with friends. The limited menu was beyond basic, cocktails incredibly expensive and we waited over an hour and half for chicken burgers. People were leaving. We were given some vouchers which was kind though not sure I want to return... and staff's pleasant attitude attributed to me feeling like I wasn't just robbed of time and money. It's a shame.

I came with a group of friends yesterday evening after hearing how amazing the cocktails are. I will start with the pros: good vibes, amazing cocktails and really good decor. The cons: we ordered dessert which took nearly 45 minutes to come, mind you it was 3 scoops of ice cream with 2 bowls of festivals and even that order came out wrong. The waitress was friendly and attentive however when I complained her supervisor came over and proceeded to shout at her in front of us! I work in the restaurant industry and I can see it's a new establishment going through its first few months. This place has such potential but please look at your management team and their lack of basic customer service and experience! You will waste a lot of money especially giving people vouchers due to bad service. From what I saw of your waitressing staff they were all friendly and attentive. I never usually write reviews but after yesterday's experience I felt the need to!

The whole experience is fairly average. The service is very slow even though there were only 2 tables with people when we arrived. The food is nice enough but nothing special, you get just what you order with not much garnish or extras. If anything remarkable, the sugar dumplings were quite interesting although the rest of the experience makes you think twice if it actually worthy going back...

·

Worst service I've ever seen! Went on an event day and understood there would be queuing. Finally got a table after an hour. No one came over to ask if we wanted a drink or give us a menu until 25 minutes after we sat. Then drinks took 20 minutes to arrive. Food took another 45 minutes! And then my starter came along with my mother in laws starter and main. Waitress walks away to bring other people their mains so I ask where my main is. And she says oh we ran out I'll take it off your bill! When was she going to inform me of this mishap?? Poor management, understaffed, and unprofessional, this is extremely disappointing for a restaurant in such a busy shopping outlet. Over two hours wasted on this place and didn't even leave happy. They need to up their game or this place should be avoided at all costs.

I was very disappointed when i opened my delivery from Sugar Dumplin and the state of the food.I ordered Jerk Chicken, Fried Festivals, Fried Plantains and Red Cabbage. The JERK CHICKEN was not JERKED at ALL, The people who cooked this do not know what they are doing. There was no JERK NOTHING ON IT, The Chicken had a tiny bit of salt and nothing else. I am going to give a bad review of this restaurant. The Festivals was the worst Festivals I have ever eaten. And the Red Cabbage, please I make cabbage better than that. There was no sauce for the JERK NOTHING. I want my money back and I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone.
