I love this place! I work in North St and I love that I can book a table here when my mum comes to meet me for lunch. The food is delicious and the staff are lovely.

In short - 45 minute wait. No kids menu. Apparently white sliced bread is 'Artisan'. Should have gone to Cote.I had brunch here today and was very disappointed with my experience. Firstly I had to wait 45 minutes for our food, which in isolation I normally don't have an issue with (It was Saturday after all!), but this was not the only problem.I am really shocked that this cafe doesn't offer a kids menu. I was with my 2 year old son and after finding out that there was nothing on offer for him, I asked the waitress if he could have a child's portion of what I was having, and she said YES OF COURSE!I had the scrambled eggs, avocado and artisan bread. The egg and avo was very nice, but the toast looked like it was bog standard white sliced bread from a local supermarket. My son's nan was with us and she kindly offered to pay. It was disappointing to find out that she had been in charged full price (over ÂŁ9) for my son's egg and toast despite the waitress agreeing to him having a smaller portion. The overall price was nearly ÂŁ40 for two adults and a child to have some breakfast and drinks. I would have been better off going to Cote or Bill's. It would have been cheaper and the food would have been nicer.

This Cafe is wonderful. It is a gem and I feel so relaxed when I visit. There is always such a warm welcome. The coffee is sublime, Prosecco is fabulous and I haven’t been disappointed by the vegetarian options on the menu. The decor and furnishings compliment the dining experience. We had such fun with the staff who knew when to chat with us and when to make their presence felt but not intrusive. They are family friendly too. Oh and one final point. Anyone with food allergies or intolerance need not be shy. The chef even visited our table to talk through what he could do to make one of our parties dining experience a nice normal lunch with no spotlight or fear of dining. I wish I could visit more often.

My friends and I come here every Monday and Thursday and we really love it. Staff are so kind and friendly and always so happy to see you. The owner is charming and chatty and that really makes a difference when there's so many places out there. The coffee is great, the cake selection is great and the food menu is simple and concise but absolutely delicious and it's easy for everyone to find something they like.Thank you so much ♥

This is a place worth visiting as it has a great infrastructure for coffee making that you can see in action. It’s a beautiful place with different spaces. They roast and grind their own coffee, which you can see right away when you enter. While this specific area of Bromley is saturated with coffee shops, I choose to go to this location every day. Despite how early I go in, the employees are always high energy and cheerful. They greet everyone who comes in and work really well with one another. Whether the place is packed or slow, the employees are always professional and efficient. They also play great music! So while there are other locations that are equally as close to my office, I will always go out of my way to stop by Cafe 1917. Love the energy! My favourite breakfast is the Eggs Benedict, it is perfectly fine for a morning breakfast with a big coffee.

I went today together with my husband to get a coffee and it was the best I had in a very long time after trying a lot of coffee shops! I had a coconut sponge as well which was really good! Service is great, we felt really welcomed. We will definitely come back!
