Good choice for off the cuff local drinks.. spacious.. food available whenever we go .. kids love the garden and kids menu excellent value for money.A side room available for private hire fits about two dozen. Know people who have hired and very satisfied. Check with the pub staff, who are stalwarts, for food options,(Bring your own music)The garden is a great boon , especially for the children, roll on summer!

Late lunch at the Goldsmiths today. Lamb Shank and Steak specials both lovely. Well cooked and tasty. Great service and good choice of beers as usual.

Absolute gem of a local community pub -- my partner and I have been in a few times now, and have had such a good experience every time. The food is so good, you can tell the team in the kitchen have taken the time and effort to think through what they are serving. The Sunday roasts are exceptional and definitely the best in the area -- the roast belly of pork has perfect crackling, the potatoes crispy on the outside and not cremated for once, by FAR the best Yorkshires ever served in a pub (no Aunt Bessie's or re-heated cardboard here), the gravy has terrific depth, the greens are actually green, and that braised red cabbage brings it all together beautifully. Hell, even the apple sauce looks home made. Beyond that though, it's the staff that makes the place - every single one of them is attentive, friendly, and makes you feel welcome and right at home.

What was meant to be a quick lunch on a Friday, ended up being a leisurely afternoon at the pub. The food is delicious & staff are amazing. Very dog & family friendly & the team are putting in lots of events to include children, nice garden. My new favourite pub

The Goldsmiths is one of the most family-friendly pubs in South East London. There’s an amazing supervised kids table (book ahead) with crafts and crayons galore. The food is great - we had a fabulous Sunday roast with floor-to-ceiling Yorkshire puddings. It’s also a great spot for a quiet weeknight pint; the warm and welcoming team have struck the right balance between a traditional pub and modern gastro grub. There’s also a strong community focus and an unpretentious charm - not too shabby and not too chic!

Hands down remains, consistently the best Sunday lunch I have had in London!! No contests.They changed the veg roast from best to better! My partner loved this change.My beef was well cooked and good quality meat!All the accompaniments were well cooked and seasoned and it was downright tasty all round.It was a shame to see customers leave without getting a table, could possibly use more staff to speed things up. Would very much like to see the pubs flourish as it is well run with excellent staff.

We just had our sons first birthday party in the function room. Erin and her team were amazing from start to finish. The food was delicious and they thought of everything possible. The babies had space to roam and play and the adults had their tables too. Everyone had a great time and I can’t wait to have many more functions there. Would highly recommend. Thanks again guys! X

We came here with four other couples and 4 babies, and could not have been more impressed with the quality of food and service we received. For one, the lovely ladies put us into their private function room so the babies could roam, but despite us being tucked away we had continuous service for the 4 hours we were there (including, as a result, probably more drink rounds than anticipated!). The staff were so sweet with the babies and were really friendly and patient with us splitting the bill. I would happily come here every week - what an amazing team! Also, their chicken wings are to die for!

Awesome place. Very friendly, super attentive staff & great food. Beer garden with lots afternoon sunshine gives this place a thumbs up and a bookmark to return next time.

Went for Sunday lunch under new management after 2 years. Already knew the food and staff were awesome but under new management, it’s even better. The FREE kids table was a welcome surprise and very well managed. They loved the arts and craft. We had to drag the kids away from it to eat. The kids table gave the adults time to relax knowing they are in safe hands. It’s clearly professionally managed and the staff looking after the kids kept them entertained. I hope they don’t get rid of it. We will most certainly be going back. Was such a perfect afternoon. Keep up the good work guys 👊🏽
