Probably the best Chinese place in South east London, good quality food ,quick delivery , well worth the money

We often use this takeaway and have yet to have a bad experience.

·

Not using anymore, always seems a problem to ask something, not willing to advise anything bad customers service. Yesterday ordered King Prawns in sweet sour sauce… this what I get…

Very disappointing, inedible food. Delivered Chinese Chicken instead of the Chinese Chicken curry which was ordered. We called to inform them, and were abruptly told we had misordered. We were happy to try this, but the chicken was rubbery and tasteless. Likewise the Cashew Chicken was watery and full of carrots. We called again to politely give feedback, as simply couldn’t eat either dish, and were told ‘this is how the dishes are served up’. They were not prepared to refund the 2 of the 5 dishes we could not eat, offering 10% off the next order.... ummm. Poor customer service for loyal customers. Shame, spoilt our evening.

Tasty and reliable, quick to collect and reasonably priced. A good Chinese. Also one of the only local places that serves Tofu.

To look at the menu or the outside of this takeaway, Happy Garden seems like your bog standard Chinese. And that is indeed where it fits in the market. However, the food and service are always excellent, and the people very friendly and accommodating. The prices are on a par with other Chinese takeaways in the area. We occasionally try other Chinese places when they open up, but we always return to Happy Garden and are never disappointed. You won't find anything out of the ordinary on the menu, but all your old favourites will be excellently made.

It is the second time after ive eaten from this Chinese place, Im not well and been throwing up. First time I had to come home from work, so i lost a days pay. This time my partner is sick too. The food is not cheap and you make people sick. There should be some health and safety checks at your take away place. Thanks God, My children were not hungry yesterday so didnt eat much. I will not be ordering from there again. Although i used to love it so much.Yesterdays order was Chicken fried rice,Mushroom Chow mein, Spring rolls and Seaweed.I wish to receive a refund..

Been using this shop for years food always really nice. Today the food was awful tasted like vinegar bottled had been tipped in crispy chilli beef soft. Sweet and sour chiken chicken peking style really vinegary .Phoned the shop to ask if they had a new chef as we could not understand why it was so bad. They did not believe me so I suggested they taste it. They were not really bothered , I feel maybe it has changed hands because we have been going there years when it was a fish and chip shop also always very good. Such a shame. £20 food and a tip later food in the bin

I've never eaten here, however, the menu was delivered today by a man who couldn't be bothered walking up the path so vaulted over my wall, stopped outside my front window as he spoke for 5 minutes to his mate, posted the menu through my door and climbed over my fence to next door. When your menu delivery people have respect for my property and my privacy, I'll consider trying your restaurant, until then, your menu is going in the bin.

Awful! I recently ordered a takeaway from Happy Garden. Although the people I ate with had side dishes I had a main dish (Ho Fun Special noodles). That evening around 3 hours after eating from Happy Garden, and having nothing else to eat, I woke from my sleep with a violent stomach ache and terrible nausea. My experience eating at Happy Garden gave me food poisoning which I had confirmed by a doctor after being admitted to the hospital for the severe dehydration I had due to 7 hours of vomiting. The other symptoms of the food poisoning I think go without saying. Will never eat here again and definitely wouldn't recommend.
