I don’t like writing negative reviews but I’m afraid Ho Lok is hugely expensive and the food is poor. The duck spring rolls were deep fried (think KFC!) and the rest of the dishes were bland and greasy. One dish was barely 2/3 full and cost £5.80 and they have the audacity to charge £2.80 for prawn crackers that are less tasty than the ones you get in the supermarket.

Started eating from here 1 year ago after stopping due to quality if food. Must be new chefs but they are consistently great in what they now cook. Really good.

ordered from ho lok for 10 years now, simply pointed out that the squid was so chewy someone with dentures would’ve been in trouble. When i told them about this issue they didn’t want to hear my constructive criticism also the chips were so soggy it might as well of been mash up your game ho lok you’ve lost a loyal customer

Prawn balls caked in grease, like oily ok but the entire bag drenched in oil? Chicken in the fried rice tasted vile and tough. The rice itself was ok at best. Shared my complaints and got a full refund so good customer service

We had our 1st takeaway from Ho Lok last night and it was the best chinese we had ever had. Delivered quickly. Really fresh and hot. Very tasty

When I frist went to the shop, it looked too small and both the staff was very busy. Waited few minutes to place order. But worth waiting as the food was tasty and good quantity. Enjoyed it.

Our usual Chinese was closed today so we went a bit further afield and found Ho Lok. Ordered 6 dishes, all very tasty and lovely and hot. Abz, who delivered, was polite and the food arrived before time which was a bonus. Very pleased with our new discovery. Highly recommended.

Awful! I ordered at 18:30 and it's now 21:54. Nothing has been delivered and I have called the restaurant 142 times to find it constantly engaged! No one has had the courtesy to call me to explain the delay. Just Eat were useless as I cannot contact them and I now have to sort out my hungry children. After being a loyal customer for years, I am utterly shocked to be treated this way. Good bye, Ho Lok - never again!
