This Cafe is wonderful. It is a gem and I feel so relaxed when I visit. There is always such a warm welcome. The coffee is sublime, Prosecco is fabulous and I haven’t been disappointed by the vegetarian options on the menu. The decor and furnishings compliment the dining experience. We had such fun with the staff who knew when to chat with us and when to make their presence felt but not intrusive. They are family friendly too. Oh and one final point. Anyone with food allergies or intolerance need not be shy. The chef even visited our table to talk through what he could do to make one of our parties dining experience a nice normal lunch with no spotlight or fear of dining. I wish I could visit more often.

My friends and I come here every Monday and Thursday and we really love it. Staff are so kind and friendly and always so happy to see you. The owner is charming and chatty and that really makes a difference when there's so many places out there. The coffee is great, the cake selection is great and the food menu is simple and concise but absolutely delicious and it's easy for everyone to find something they like.Thank you so much ♥

We went there for a Group Xmas meal.Lovely vegetetarian wrap. Good price, compared to other venues... that accommodate group meal. The things on the wall, created an old-time feel. There was a bicycle, photos ... amongst other things on the wall.Thanks.

Thank you for serving us one of the best breakfasts we've ever had! The service and atmosphere were also top notch! We enjoyed the food so much that we ordered dinner to take away!

Just a few tweaks required for 4 or 5 stars. Wanted to try a non-chain place, so came to 1917. First thing I noticed was a strong smell of stale tobacco, but I noticed a customer rolling up a cigarette on his table so assumed it was him - it wasn’t.The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast, a tea and a cappuccino. The breakfast came so quickly it beat the drinks to the table! The food was really good - especially the avocado part. Unfortunately, all the time when I was eating I was noticing that the stale tobacco was still there, which was rather off putting. My partner had the cappuccino and said that it needs more coffee in it and was too milky - although we didn’t raise this at the time, and it may be personal taste.Overall, pros: Tasty food, prompt service, friendly staff. Cons: temperature was a bit warm, the stale smoke smell, stronger coffee please!

Great food there, but unfortunately costumers do not matter much to them. They unexpectedly cancelled my group reservation without an apology. Reason? Being too close to Christmas and not creating revenue for them. They shouldn't have let me book it then in the first place. Turns out you cannot be born in December.

I really liked this place. We ordered the soup of the day and daily pasta and meatball specials. Really honest and tasty food at a great price. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Small touches matter...when we told the waiter we'd be sharing a soup starter, the chef split the portion into two bowls. Amazing coffee. Will be back.

This is a place worth visiting as it has a great infrastructure for coffee making that you can see in action. It’s a beautiful place with different spaces. They roast and grind their own coffee, which you can see right away when you enter. While this specific area of Bromley is saturated with coffee shops, I choose to go to this location every day. Despite how early I go in, the employees are always high energy and cheerful. They greet everyone who comes in and work really well with one another. Whether the place is packed or slow, the employees are always professional and efficient. They also play great music! So while there are other locations that are equally as close to my office, I will always go out of my way to stop by Cafe 1917. Love the energy! My favourite breakfast is the Eggs Benedict, it is perfectly fine for a morning breakfast with a big coffee.
