Pho Saigon in Bromley

Average in every way. Not bad if you are trying Vietnamese food for the first time - but if you have been around the block a few times - then you have probably had better.

When you enter the restaurant, it is likely the only waitress there will be busy with one thing or another, if it's night time she would have to deal with takeaway orders and delivery drivers. Don't bother to wait to be seated, just pick an empty table yourself, menus are on the table, she will eventually come to you. The kitchen can be a little slow too, in my experience here (3 times) it's best to tell them to just bring all the food at once, otherwise it could be quite a wait between starter and main course. Food is nice.

Absolutely love this place, didn't get any pix because well hunger took over lol.. The staff are just so welcoming and helpful.. I asked how they made the dipping sauce for the summer rolls and the kind gentleman had some words with his auntie in the kitchen and she gave up her recipe 😬 😩 and I was given 2 small pots of the delicious sauce 😋... I will say the summer rolls are quite deceptive, my daughter and I had the crispy chicken & avocado and the prawn ( as they come in 3's) So me being me ordered both 🤦🏽‍♀️ Then spicy noodle soup with brisket, had to take the rest home, which was ok, I had it for breakfast lol..

The restaurant being practically empty at 8 pm on a Saturday evening told its own tale. Hand sanitiser station at the entrance drenched the two us with what seemed to be dirty water. We waited and waited and waited and were eventually seated. Then again we waited and waited and ultimately left as nobody could be arsed to serve us. The place stank of damp. If I were you I really wouldn't bother and I'm so glad we didn't in the end.

1st time in a Vietnamese restaurant and I wasn't disappointed! We didn't know what to order but needn't worry as the young gentleman serving us was only too happy to help. Highly recommended

Great food at reasonable prices. I’m so in love with their Vietnamese crispy pancakes. They do barbecue meats at the table now so I’ll definitely be trying that at some point. My only gripe would be that the plate the pancake is brought on is too small causing the contents to spill on the table. I had to cut half and put it on another plate.

Took 15 minutes to get a bottle of coke, pho was bland with barely any meat in the ‘special’ herbs to be added were a sorry state no Thai basil no coriander. Worst pho I’ve had! Never write bad reviews but this place sucked :( very sad.

Really disappointing. The food tastes good but there was barely any meat in the pho (3 shreds to be exact!) When we politely mentioned this to the waiter he said he'd speak to the owner. He then returned to tell us that's the way it is and 'he's sorry' but that's the managers final word. When I expressed this was super sad experience and we wouldn't be returning because of this he didn't seem to care and responded with sorry. I can't believe how short sighted this business is. It's costs nothing to put a decent bit of chicken in a bowl. Bearing in mind the pho was £10!! No wonder the place is empty. We definitely not be returning - bad service and rip off!

The pho is quite comforting, the beef broth taste really good and the Vietnamese coffee (if SUPER sweet) is nice! And so was the taro bubble tea.The restaurant itself is humble and understaffed midweek, but the waiters are nice and efficient and food is good and reasonably priced.Give it a shot and see got yourself!

It’s hard to imagine a place like this surviving if it had any competition from another Vietnamese restaurant that was even half decent. The quality of the food is surprisingly bad. The meat spring rolls costing £6.80 are flavorless and miserable, and the £10.30 “special” noodle salad is “special” for all the wrong reasons - tiny, uninspired, and disappointing.
