After reading a few recent negative reviews we thought we would give it a try anyway. We went there with a party of 4 for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. The staff greeted us with a big smile and took us to the table. Starters were huge and tasty, especially the calamari - not oily at all. We had roast beef, chicken, lamb and fish& chips - not a thing that we didn't like. They were all yummy and well cooked. We were happy 😊

Wonderful pub and managers and staff Nice function room to throw a party, and very reasonable. Highly recommended

Really great little local pub a five minute walk from Beckenham Town centre. They do a good menu and a great selection of drinks and the staff are both friendly and welcoming.Often gets busy so expect to stand if you are just turning up for a drink at peak times. What makes this place great is the outside space! It has seating both out the front and also in a courtyard garden at the back which effectively doubles the seating space when the weather is good!Definitely worth whiling away a summer afternoon or evening here in the garden with a pint or two!

The staff are warm and friendly, the drinks were nice. We went for a Sunday roast, ordered one lamb and one beef both very dry and under par. Starters pretty tasteless and we didn't bother with dessert.

Served a shocking chicken burger which was burnt to a crisp, literally. Kindly knocked off the bill. Other three meals ordered were decent. Poor show on the part of the chef for sending that out.

Went for birthday lunch 6 adults 2 children. Waited an hour for water to turn up that we ordered withe the drinks. Starters did not all arrive at same time and 1 was missing had to go ask 20 minutes after the other starters arrived. After another 20 minutes still not arrived. Went and cancelled it. Other starter's one was cold, sent back and another was burnt. Took 2 hrs from sitting down to food arriving. Mains arrived eventually, but not all at same time. One was pie mash veg and gravey, all cold, sent back. When it come back pie and mash was hot but veg stone cold and soggy, gravey stone cold. Took it back and said it is still cold and I would like my order to be right. I was told that there was no need to take that attitude! Items missing off of other plates. Asked for bill the missing starter and pie and mash had been taken off. No apologies. One of us took bill and pointed out all the issues and 50% was taken off the bill. There were other issues with the service.

Friendly place, good atmosphere, poor food if you opt for the fish or crumble. The fish was small portioned but well cooked... I went hungry and am small build; so two starters;. served with some beans, carrot...anyway I'll stop there; the ice cream had zero taste and crumble was overall poor. Mushroom starter okay at best. Avoid. However good drinks ;) Service super friendly. Will go for Wellington if I go back as my colleagues' looked excellent, as did the turkey.

Always friendly and a reliable feast on any day of the week. If I could, I would eat here much more often than I do now x Thank you everyone

What a lovely pub. Great food with wonderful and friendly staff. On a cold Sunday afternoon is there any other choose but a Sunday Roast, beef with all the trimmings and a Yorkshire pudding big enough for two (although I didn’t share). The restaurant was fully booked but that didn’t stop me enjoying my meal in the back bar, if anything I preferred it that way. It was a generous serve with lots of vegetables.I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.
