Such friendly and attentive staff, especially Clare, who looked after us for my birthday yesterday. HIGHLY recommend afternoon tea here - there are few things that I approve of so much. A hidden gem! We're all going back, as soon as possible!!

I had a team meeting and the team suggested a local cafe.We had tea which came I a separate tea pots and tea cups with spoons. White and brown sugar was available. The three of us chose vegan cake slices, the menu didn't have vegan options but after a simple request, it was lovely to find out they had so many options. I chose a vegan biscoff slice. On this occasion I didn't take any pictures I just couldn't wait to eat haha.

Nice atmosphere, nice food, there is a small garden out back with a play area so we had our lunch in peace! Not a great selection of food for little ones

Pets and children friendlyExcellent food and service. All food are freshly made. The carrot cake is the best I’ve ever had, desserts overall are not too sweet, perfect! Relaxing environment, clean and cozy.

what a lovely place where to enjoy a proper tea time or a brunch or even a proper lunch. I came here with my partner and we had a risotto and another plate with curry chickpeas and rice and both of them were absolutely amazing. After that we enjoyed cakes and cookies. What a wonderful lunch break. The place is pretty small so it can easily get crowded, however it has a back garden space which I'm sure is perfect during the warm season. If you want to come for a tea time with scones, jams and whatever else, you have to book in advance. The staff are very nice and friendly.Yes, it's truly a lovely place where you can find great food and happiness.

Lovely cafe, nice outside seating and a little play area for kids. Only had the coffee which was good but can’t comment on the food. Looked nice though and hope to be back soon to try it.

We visited today for a lovely Mother’s Day afternoon tea, the food and tea was amazing as always and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The garden and play equipment is a great facility to let the kids have a little play when they get restless. It’s a shame we live just a little bit too far away otherwise we would visit more regularly.Would certainly recommend a visit…

I have visited Lavender House many times over the last 5 years and tried all of their menu. The staff are all friendly and attentive, I have not had a bad experience with service or food. They are currently operating a reduced menu and only have the garden open. There is a small children's play area with a swing and slide. Dogs are welcome and offered water bowls. As it is Winter, there is shelter and heaters for some of the tables, however the unsheltered tables have parasols if needed. In Summer two of the tables are within the lavender bushes, which is lovely to see all of the bees busy at work, the back of the garden is a quiet haven from the busy road.As the tables operate on a first come first served basis, you may find weekdays are best to pop in on a ad hoc basis for a table. They are open from 8AM on a weekday so it's ideal to grab a coffee on a school run before work. Throughout the pandemic they were a little piece of sanctuary to take some quiet time on a day off. There is a large tea menu (Birchall tea), I tend to opt for the viranga chai tea or a (Monmouth) coffee. Occasionally there are evening events and the atmosphere is lovely. The menu is priced at what you would expect for the local area.
