The New Inn in Bromley

Two star based on last night's visit but giving it 3 as previous visits including function room were okay. Reviewing to highlight areas to improve. Overall most staff fine and venue itself is okay and convenient. £14 burger unfortunately like a clump of compressed meat, ridiculously dense and not good. Others same. To call it 'prime beef' is questionable. Dry and rubbery. Bar service, pet gripe of mine.. why when I order the same two drinks is the price not the same each time? Different barman, different price. Most staff good but one or two definitely not, overcharging and fingers in all drinks and serving a wet mess to you at the bar. A sign of poor training and management (as someone who previously worked in a similar venue). Couldn't be bothered to question it as bloke wasn't nice and didn't want the aggro. Foster's not chilled like other lagers. One other comment, the layout is a large 'hall-like' layout (no divides) so very loud.

Went here for a meal. Very loud atmosphere thanks to non existent acoustic planning. Questionable food. The 'prime beef burger' was in no way prime. If your are only going for drinks and are not fussed about hearing anything your friends are saying then head on down.

Nice venue to have dinner and some drinks.

Very average food. The fish and chips was good but the vegan Sticky noodles which promised stir-fried vegetables was underwhelming. For £10 I expected some fresh vibrant stir fried peppers, mangetout etc but it was just noodles with boiled peas, carrots and green beans. Tasted ok but disappointing presentation and lack of colour.

Absolutely disgusted 😤 i booked a meal for 18 people for a joint 30th and 21st birthday meal..... a week later I turn up with the 18 people for a meal to be told no under 25s 😡😡😡 bearing in mind I drop the big 30 and 21 balloons and a cake earlier on that after noon and not 1 staff said any thing and they knew what we was celebrating

Turned away because we had a baby. I popped in to ask as I saw a sign on the door but no mention of any policy on their website. Travelled there because it looked nice but felt like a second class citizen by the staff. I would not recommend to anyone.

I’d like to give some feedback on the experience my friend and I had at your premises yesterday.We are both mixed race guys in our 30s both dressed smart casual. Him however more so than I, I was wearing a smart designer tracksuit with designer trainers and a designer jacket. Friend in jeans etc.Immediately greeted by one of your bar staff who was polite however contradictory in his statements. We were told that you do not allow tracksuits in the pub and that is totally fine if clearly stated on your website or on the door. However in the same breath advised us that if we were only there for 30 minutes it wouldn’t be a problem. We stated we were having a quick drink for New Years as my friend was going to a family meal shortly. We didn’t argue with his requests or make a scene just said okay and left.This was our first experience going to your venue after hearing many good things about the food and atmosphere. I can only say that this was not the review I will be giving to anyone as the clientele in the pub were all white which made us feel uncomfortable. Your bar staff were all white. Then the ‘greeting’ we received was negative also. I would never usually make the effort to draft an email however as soon as I left I said to my friend you may as well have said no blacks.I’m not sure if this is the write channel to send this to or whether to leave a review on Facebook or Google as it is an honest account of our experience. It may be hard for you to understand from our perspective as I doubt any of you are of colour.

It's a nice spacious pub, however I was surprised at the quality of food. I'm not sure if I'll go back, maybe I would have to try something different. I have had better burgers in tiny cafes. It was quite expensive too.

28 July first time visit the new inn and amazing place to eat&drinkGreat food at a very affordable price. Was my first time to new inn 28 July trying steak. I ordered a steak and fries with peppercorn sauce and it was cooked medium as requested. Was nice and Juicy and full of flavour. The chips it was served with was very tasty, skin on fries ,food was great.

We came here for a Sunday roast, which was very nice.The only thing we've noticed that the staff was not wearing any face covering which might be scary for some people but we were not bothered.The dessert was a bit disappointing as I've asked for the sticky toffee pudding which I love but instead I got a piece of basic chocolate cake with chocolate sauce and strawberries and no mention about this cake not being available.There was no lactose free milk or cows milk either and the waitress said they have to go to Sainsbury's to buy some milk so we'll have to wait for our coffees.Everything went well until after we've finished our desserts and were still drinking our coffees which we had to wait for when we've been asked to leave the table as the next guests have arrived.It was a bit surprising that we had to get up with our drinks and go outside as all the tables were reserved in the bar area.The overall experience was OK though.
